Fully agree with you. It will be tough for Iowa to avoid running themselves tired, but if they can keep a deep rotation, it shouldn't be a big problem. I'd love to see teams get run right out of the gym by the uptempo pace in the future under McCaffery.

The good: First, I feel Cartwright did a good job controlling the tempo of the game. He really got up the court quickly after a score or a rebound. This led to some pretty solid passes (one in particular where he split 2 defenders with a bounce pass to Gatens). I also think he did a good job...

Iowa did a nice job of using the way the refs were letting most things go against Leonard. I will admit that there were some missed calls or poor ones, but I really enjoyed how the refs let a lot go today. Hopefully we see that tomorrow too.

I don't think his impact will be scoring. I think he'll help defensively as well as rebounding. He'll definitely add much needed depth as well.

That's not very accurate, actually. AAU definitely has much better defensive play than a high school team does. On AAU teams, you have guys who play basketball as their first sport (in most cases) whereas a high school team doesn't have that. AAU is much more competitive than most high school...

He's not good enough down low on offense or defense to get any minutes as a 4. He can't guard 2's or 3's.
