    Heisman

Why, because he shot his mouth off one time (and what he said wasn't even slightly inaccurate)?

    Heisman

If McCaffrey played in the SEC, Big 12 or Big Ten, he would be that player. Hell, even if he played for USC or Oregon. But he plays for Stanford and many of his games are on very late for people east of the rockies, so he doesn't generate the same level of hype or get the same exposure.

    Heisman

My vote would be for McCaffrey. Any time you put yourself in the same neighborhood as Barry Sanders in the record books, you've done something pretty damn incredible. But Henry will likely win it.

Playoff or Peach, that's our fate folks

I want to play Stanford in the Rose Bowl if things don't work out on Saturday, but I'd gladly take a date with Notre Dame in the Fiesta Bowl, too. The Peach Bowl itself is fine, but playing Houston or Temple would be a total dud.

Is this the biggest Iowa game in our generation?

As long as they continue to win, each game from here on out is the biggest in school history.

your CFP rankings prediction, week 14

If #4 beats #5, there's no way they don't move up at all.

How disgusting how the Big Ten Title Game loser will likely get punished

Because the level of competition does matter. Having one more win than another team doesn't automatically make your team better.

One last closing note on Nebby in 2015 ...

Obviously, the W is what matters for the team. But it doesn't refute train's point that Nebraska was a better team than their record indicated.

your CFP rankings prediction, week 14

Flip Iowa and OSU, and that's about right.

One last closing note on Nebby in 2015 ...

Nebraska outgained Iowa by nearly 200 yards, held Iowa without a third down conversion for the entire game, and didn't allow a first down in the fourth quarter. Armstrong made some bonehead throws and Iowa took advantage of those mistakes. But Nebraska did outplay us in several ways. Turnovers...

Let's be clear, as a fan, Peach and Fiesta do not want

Because the Rose Bowl does carry weight with the committee. But to the average fan in college football, the playoffs are what really matter now, and any other game isn't that big of a deal.

How disgusting how the Big Ten Title Game loser will likely get punished

Beating Michigan like a rented mule is a better win than any win Iowa has to date. And I think you're underestimating Ohio State's hunger right now. What they did today, IMO, is what they're going to do to every upcoming opponent, whether that's in a bowl game or the playoffs.

Let's be clear, as a fan, Peach and Fiesta do not want

They are all literally on the same level in terms of national relevance this year. Do I want to go to the Rose Bowl if Iowa doesn't make the playoff? Absolutely. But if the alternative is a Fiesta Bowl matchup with Notre Dame, I can live with that.

    Desmond King?

This is ridiculous. Is he pressing a little when it comes to #9? I'm sure he probably is. I made the comment during last week's game to a friend that he was going full DJK after he missed his third chance at a pick. I remember DJK against MSU in 2010 was going to break at least one record...

Any truth to rumor that King is out for first half?

    Not even close.

Any truth to rumor that King is out for first half?

Hello, welcome to the internet. He didn't look 100% last week, and that's where my mind went first because he's never been the type to cause trouble.

Any truth to rumor that King is out for first half?

I didn't claim to have sources, just a hunch.

Any truth to rumor that King is out for first half?

I'm calling BS. Why would he sit the first half? I know he's dinged up, but he's either out or he's not. There's not really anything the coaches are going to learn between the opening kickoff and halftime that would affect his ability to play the second half. He's either good to play or he...

    Kirk Herbstreit has no credibility

I would agree that they're all deserving, but that doesn't mean there isn't reason to believe Iowa isn't in the top half of those 8 teams or better than all the 1-loss teams. There's reason to believe they are, too, but it's not because of the 0 in the L column.
