Not sure where the OP is going with this... but as a parent of a couple West High kids, I am appalled by the lack of support WHS fanbase gives it's teams. Last night at the girls state tournament, there were no cheerleaders, no pep band... and only a handful (I'm guessing 15-20 students)...

A lot of the posters above are correct... the team is playing pretty well w/o Dondre (or rather "Dre" as the hip-hops call him). His athleticism will be missed deeper into the tournament, but the team will benefit from not having to deal with his daily drama. w/o going into too much detail...

update: Dondre is no longer on the IC West basketball team (suspended for the second time this season), wondering if S. Miss is having regrets yet. :eek:

Screw the video... maybe they should work on the sound system. We are unlucky enough to be seated near the South endzone, with all of the blasted speakers mounted in our ears... sponsored by Beltone, cuz if you weren't deaf before... you will be once you spend a season seated underneath those...

Yep, about right.... from my freezing section 214, I was pleasantly surprised with the turnout of the Hawkeye faithful. Still I was pi$$ed that the fuskers were such a presence in our house. :( We gotta start putting a quality package on the field and even borderline passable game coaching...

I hear ya bcl20... although the last year Greenway/Hodge were here and we blew that big lead at NW when it seemed like we started celebrating a bit too early ranks right up there. :mad:

Yeah, well.... I guess I was holding out hope that the "professional" coaches could see things that us "armchair tavernhawks" couldn't.... turns out it sure seems to be the other way around doesn't it? :confused:

^^^ This. Question, what if JVB was hurt? would Ruddock be sooo bad that we would then forfeit the game?? Give the 2nd string some reps in a game that is already decided is about a basic coaching as you can get... just makes too much sense for some? :confused:

With all y'all about the frustrations with JVB... but from what I have heard about the young man and his work ethic, we really should trust Capt Kirk and continue to support him as our QB. I figure as long as the kid does not give up on himself and continue to work hard to improve... he will...

Besides... his Mom is blazin' hot... and James is a good shot (just ask the bear and the stud buck he's put down in his spare time this year) :eek:

Agreed, my niece just started college there and it sounds like he has the local fanbase starting to get excited (or at least interested) in Minny football. May he have the best of luck with his health issues.
