I assumed he would play a lot, since Iowa's offense needs the extra tight end, since that's where the talent is at. I didn't see him excelling to this level, but man, what a blessing Iowa has with these two!

Regarding #52, if you look closely, you can see he is in the doghouse. He is a great physical talent and football player. He is not handling adversity well. That, combined with Iowa is playing more of a nickel, and Ferentz just doesn't think #52 is one of his top two LB's in that set.

#52 has had numerous mistakes on special teams. Also, he does not take correction well. If you watch closely, this is a matter of how he is handling his mistakes, not the mistakes themselves. On the other hand, look at #27. More of a strong safety, but he has been playing great!
