people like to enjoy a win. I wouldn’t storm the field over beating an overrated gopher team that you were favored over, but hey, people love the hawks, especially drunk fans. So just let them enjoy the win over an undefeated top 10 team.
this year is turning into Iowa being historically bad on offense when you look at yards per play, rush and scoring offense. You might actually see Brian and KF open things up just out of necessity
100% agree on your points about football although I don’t know where you are getting these 11 win years every 5-6 years. I don’t remember them, except 2015.
However basketball is different. Basketball isn’t developmental. You only 2-3 good players to make a run. How else do you explain right...
wisconsin basically is Iowa with Milwaukee and that’s not a football factory city. Iowa has the same proximity to Minnesota as Wisconsin. Milwaukee doesn’t have the football recruits that stl, KC and the MSP have.
Unfortuntely you are right, but I’d like to see him
Have a goal beyond 10-10 in the big ten and building toward a top 5 big ten program to compete with purdue, Wisconsin and the Michigan’s
I agree completely, Foster is a great player, I can see him as an all big 12 pick but I can’t see him being a lottery pick. However, he isn’t a paradigm changer for a program.
absolutely! Doyle is a great coach, however Wisconsin has the same recruiting advantages/disadvantages as Iowa and have dominated Iowa physically on both lines for years.
I have to agree on AJE. He is playing well, but we expected him to be a game-changer like chase young or a bosa. He’s essentially an all big ten DE, but not an all America and probably not a first round draft pick.
It’s been a disappointment and I love the guy and how he conducts himself...
if Nate was given any guards from the 2015 or 2016 team he’d be 8-1 right now. Iowa is averaging 3 yds per carry and is getting killed by blitzes in the a gap, these are not nates fault. 3 yds per carry is the o lines fault.
Wisconsin is a good team no doubt, but they aren’t a top ten team. If you subtracted the Michigan game they look about like Iowa. I’m not saying Iowa has a good chance to win, but they definitely aren’t too good to lose 3 games.
Jonathan Taylor for all his accolades (and they are deserved) is a fumbler. If he coughs one up and maybe stone pulls off an interception on a 3rd and 9. Iowa can pull it off. How we short of turnovers I can’t see it happening. Feels like a 24-13 game to me.
