The officiating was awful. IUPUI shot 19 2nd half FT’s ,Iowa shot 2. If you watched the game (which I doubt) you would have seen the officials get caught up in the rally and missed many calls. Hawks could have shot better and they made too many mistakes. This loss was more than 50% on the officials!

Tied 31-31 at the half. Hawks gave up three 3 pointers in a row and lucky to be tied at the half. They must have had 14 or 15 turnovers in the first half. Need to clean that up.

BTN is running, but no announcers. We only have the PA guy. Hawks up 17-13 after one quarter.

UCF is a good defensive team that likes to slow things down. We will need to rebound and avoid live ball turnovers. They are not deep so if we push tempo it will help us late in the game. GO HAWKS!!

I’m not surprised. It’s going to take some time . They relied on Paige to not only initiate offense, but to take the big shots. Eventually Geno will get it adjusted.

Hawks lost because they missed a lot of easy shots, including FT’s and they got crushed on the boards. It didn’t help that the refs never called 3 second violations. Cockburn camped out in the lane at least 8 times that I counted. We will improve, but this was a lost opportunity. Go Hawks!!

Mostly because we haven’t seen or played against that kind of quickness. Duke has elite athletes and you have to be used to that. We weren’t ready for hat.

They will improve, but they will struggle with teams that have quickness like Duke. They really need to focus on block out assignments. Clark is the only one who has that elite quickness.

Tough loss, Hawks clearly rusty, but they found some things they need to work on, especially rebounding.
