At one time these "Bowl" names made some sense. A bowl full of oranges, sugar, and peaches made sense. I can even get behind a bowl full of gator, gator meat in a stew perhaps. I can see bowls full of cotton and roses too I guess. But a bowl of sun or liberty?

IMO if bowl games were to die these would be the last to go. An athlete attending Prairie View A&M does not have hopes of ever playing for the NC and very few of them have hopes of ever playing in the NFL. These bowl games are a treat for them.
