    For The Notre Dame Fans….

You watch your mouth. Nebby won 3 NC's in the 90s. That was only 30 years ago and none of their players were alive at the time, but they'll be quick to remind you so be warned.

    Hawkeyes And The Short Week

I'm generally not a fan of Friday night games, however I've got a tournament out of town this weekend and it would be the only chance I get to see the game live. So this one time I'm ok with it, unless we stink it up Friday night.

    Couple of Surprises

MY biggest disappoint was the fact that we couldn't take a step forward in all three phases of the game. Thought our offense improved given a much weaker opponent, our defense looked good, but our special teams (primarily the kicking/punting game) took a step back. Not a complaint by any means...

Cleveland.com sends clear Woody Hayes message to Iowa Hawkeyes coach Kirk Ferentz

Good catch. Multitasking at the time. Flipped the names around. Meant to say "there's no way to dispute Hayes has a better overall resume than KF". Proofreading can be a good thing LOL. After that glaring mistake I went back and fixed it. WTF was I thinking.

Cleveland.com sends clear Woody Hayes message to Iowa Hawkeyes coach Kirk Ferentz

No one is saying KF is the better coach. No one is saying that KF's career achievements trump that of Hayes. All it is is saying that he's won more games and there's no way to dispute that. There's also no way to dispute that Hayes has a better overall resume then KF.

Ostrenga Is Out For The Year

LOL Gill is my guy in that game. Short crossing routes and slants all day. That said I realized I had zero success with any receivers getting any separation down field. Guess it's more realistic then I thought.

Kirk Still Has Confidence In Gronowski

Lets be honest with what he's shown the last two games he's going to improve. The problem is as he does so are the defenses we'll be up against.

    Sickos - and Iowa

I knew nothing about this but love it. Wish I'd of heard about them sooner while we were in the midst of our title runs.

Ostrenga Is Out For The Year

Careful that 23 receptions could lead the team and those 157 yards might be a third of our passing totals.

    Gronowski - ISU Post Game

I guess in that case he's technically showing up, but that's about it in terms of the passing game.

SI: This May Be the End for Several Coaching Greats

Honestly I think that conference would still be as good if not just as competitive as the Big 12, but I'd be scared to see the hit financially from a media standpoint as blow would be massive.

SI: This May Be the End for Several Coaching Greats

The fact he's even being mentioned as possibly on the hot seat has nothing to do with being two games into the season, but rather an issue that's been on going for years and he's yet to find an answer for. While I think that your right in the fact the ISU loss plays into it no matter what, the...

    Anybody See This Saturday Morning?

This is what I don't understand. Our QBs put up 134 yards passing and we're still complaining. Becht does it in a rivalry and he's adding to his legacy. WTF am I missing.

How much of the lack of offense is poor QB play...

Right, but the problem is despite that huge difference there's the same shit different day game ending drive in which we go deer in headlights, get sacked twice and then throw the incomplete pass to end the game. It's the negatives like that that need to be turned in to positive yards that...

    Pollard, Campbell and Goetz

Kinnick IMO has the Wrigley appeal to it. It's got that nostalgic old school feel to it that you just love. But CyTown has that Busch Stadium's Ballpark Village feel to it, where it's an atmosphere all of its own that is about so much more then just the games. I love the Cubs, but as a guy...

    NCAA Rankings

You're right, but there's still mid level bowls that spark interest. I'm just saying he's following the wrong team if he's calling it a season after week 2.

    Gronowski - ISU Post Game

We don't see eye to eye on a lot lately, but I agree with you. We talk about how NIL has changed the game and "amateurism" at the college level and if I'm getting paid even half of what he's bringing in there isn't a chance in hell I'm even thinking about saying "Just glad I played better...

    Pollard, Campbell and Goetz

Spot on. As painful as it is to say CyTown is going to be a difference maker. From a recruiting/donating/fan standpoint we don't have anything that can compete with that.

    My worthless two cent rant.

This in my opinion was the biggest kick in the nuts that entire game. They didn't really force a 54 yard field goal rather ISU took their foot off the gas and settled for it calling plays like we would have to kick a 40 yarder for the win. They were perfectly fine with where they kicked from...
