    MSU vacates 2024 wins

What exactly does vacated wins do to punish a program? I don't think it would affect a coaches ability to manipulate the situation to where its not much of a factor from a current recruiting standpoint. And it's not like those wins magically end up with their opponents and change anything. It...

    Weather Saturday

I saw something on TikTok, so take it for what its worth, but it said we had something like a 21% chance if we win out to make the playoffs so we'd definitely need some help along the way. That said I have no idea where those numbers came from so very easily could have been pulled directly out...

    Iowa's 2-pt conversion woes.

I hear you, but that's the confusing part to me. How do we function well offensively when the field shrinks in the redzone specifically around the goal line but struggle so much on conversions. Surely we'd know what our best plays were from the three yard line. I get there's extra pressure...

    Iowa's 2-pt conversion woes.

I get the difference between a regular redzone play and a conversion but when working on your goal line or those redzone plays where you're specifically around the goal line I don't think there'd be much difference. I'd think a coach would intentionally run plays that they'd use for a 2 pt...

    Indiana and Oregon

I think that talent disparity comes into play depending on how you look at things. Melrose commented that we're showing we can compete with anyone with 10 points being the difference in those 3 losses two of which to top 10 teams and a rival on the road early in the season. I totally agree...

    Iowa's 2-pt conversion woes.

Would practicing specific 2 point conversion plays make a difference? Not being dumb, but as someone who didn't play football I'd assume a team would spend a ton of time working on redzone and goal line/short yardage plays. What would be the difference/benefit of focusing specifically on 2...

    Glorious morning

I think this game will say a lot as to where we are as a program. Our offense is showing signs of improvement, our defense is still getting it done, and we've looked good in two losses against two very solid top 10 teams despite just coming up short. I think winning a game on the west coast...

    Indiana and Oregon

Any team with the exception of maybe Nebby coming back to beat PSU and I'm a happy guy. Those are two programs that I will never get tired of seeing lose.

    Tough Loss

Two months ago we were talking about absolutely getting run out of Kinnick on Saturday. We had a secondary and LB group we had zero confidence in, a solid Oline and running game, and a QB we were absolutely convinced we'd over paid for. It's easy to get down after letting another win seem to...

Was It Just Me? Anybody Else Notice?

I'll take three high energy guys in Banks' mold as opposed to stretch forwards that don't attack the glass or the paint and simply shoot the ball well. Year after year it seemed like we missed a true paint presence, lock down defender, slasher, etc... if Doph only noticed three guys that are...

Was It Just Me? Anybody Else Notice?

To be fair Fran's teams were built on perimeter shooting and if they were athletic it was a huge plus but definitely not a priority. I loved the fact that I saw different player builds and styles out there the other night. I know it was beaten like a dead horse, but Frans guys all essentially...

    Day one of Ben McCollum

Everything just felt different the other night. In a great/exciting way. Sure it was only Robert Morris, but that didn't matter. We got to see first hand a team attacking the rim, playing defense, and cleaning the glass all those things we just didn't get from Fran's teams. Not trying to...

    Uniforms

Good to see both our rivals out west continue to struggle with figuring out who their identity and which program they want to be. Nice to see were living rent free in their heads. Kind of sad though that neither program has figured out black isn't one of their primary colors yet. BTW our...

    Latest weather forecast

Based on location the pacific northwest tends to get more then their fair share of rain so I don't think it would have that much of an impact since they're accustomed to it. However windy and rainy with temps in the upper 30s lower 40s could be huge and take some air out of their passing game...

    KF retiring?

I think he'll do it in a way that draws the least attention to himself. That said I'd like to see him announce it before his last game so that he can go out to the ovation he deserves.

Agreed. And I think as a result Colorado gets let off the hook in money owed to him.

    Coaching carousel 2025

I think he'll be done after Colorado. Can't stand the guy and don't think he could coach himself out of a paper bag, but sadly (as I wouldn't wish negative things about his personal life) I think the medical issues and physical decline will make this his last stop.
