Minnesota Radio Announcer Calls Fans 'morons'

Love it! It's one thing if a broadcaster says something out of anger or frustration, but humorously putting a tongue-in-cheek spin on a classic line from one of the best comedic movies of all time deserves a tip of the hat, "Excuse me while I whip this out...."

We subscribed through Roku as well, but our remote is whole-house home theater remote. I'll see if I can find the Roku remote. 10 second increments would be helpful. I'm also starting to think of upgrading to the better version. Being forced to watch the commercials is tortuous.

Oops. Rapid math mistake there. Wetjen lines up as a WR, but within the system, he used more as a gadget player. Primarily swing passes and toss sweeps. Regardless, though, even if his stats are included, the numbers remain eye-opening considering the expectations coming into the season.

Unfortunately, our remote doesn't work that way. One "click" is the slowest FF, but still lightening fast with no associated image to show where you are at, so it's a lot of back and forth to find the right time. Which version do you have? With the basic version, I've always been forced to...

With the replay, I think it depends upon which version you purchase. The basic version forces you to watch all of the advertisements. And, this probably isn't exclusive to Peacock, but fast-forwarding and rewinding is a nightmare. Even one push is way too fast, and you can't see the actual...

    Receiving stats

A win's a win, so we'll definitely take it, but this is still eye-popping. Wetjen is more of a gadget player. If you subtract his two swing passes, our WRs and TEs as a group had a total of 4 catches for 22 yards. That's obviously not all on them, but still. . . Definitely not what I...

What Iowa Sports Do You Follow Closely?

1000% I started paying attention to the NBA in the late 70s, catching Kareem whenever I could as he was tearing up the league in those early days. When he was traded to the Lakers, I started following them closely. I became a big Magic fan when at MSU. When he was drafted by the Lakers, I got...

    Penn State Coaching Vacancy

I've always felt that the OSU job is what he keeps an eye on, and obviously would be a destination hire for him. That said, if PSU came calling, my guess is he'd very seriously consider it. I just don't see PSU targeting him. I don't know if it has been mentioned, but I'd keep an eye on Al...

    Ethan Grunkmeyer...

Yep. Exactly. The PSU players will be hyperfocused and lathered for this one. We will have to match that, especially given their advantage in team athleticism.

    Hecklinski at Bucky

If he's mobile, accurate and has a quick release, he could shine in Lester's system. A really good example would be Dillon Gabriel - small QB who shredded some great defenses. As for Brown, I posted after the IU game that I saw some troubling things with him when he came in to relieve Gron. His...

Good Article on Colorado and the Economic Realties of the New Age of CFB

This is going to be a much, much, much different world in 10 years. The surface is just now being scratched. I'm already planning on naming our household computer overlord "HAL 9000". . . . ;)

    Addison Bjorn

Agree about Deal. It's not so much her physical gifts (which are great), but much like Caitlin she's got that assassin persona about her. Bjorn has already stated that would love to be close to home. The vibe I get is that we are in a very good position and perhaps only KU is the competition...

Starting To Also Think It’s Time

I completely agree with you about Wallace, but if a head coach was aware of frankly sickening traditions within the program that occurred "for years," and tacitly condoned it, he is just as culpable whether he "directly" was involved or not. Paterno knew about the rapes being perpetrated by his...

    Couple of Questions

I'll go against the grain a little here. While I completely respect a coach and/or team's right to make the decision not to participate, I feel that choosing to do so reflects on their values and priorities. Some things just transcend sports. It would be like saying that a person with a Type-A...

Starting To Also Think It’s Time

I posted a similar thread previously due to a gut feeling that this season will be Kirk's final one. If true, I have mixed feelings about it. On the one hand, watching him step down will be a melancholic day. On the other, it will be a feeling that he is making the appropriate decision. A good...

    Terrible Loss

A few things jumped out at me from this game: 1. The offense is showing some positive signs. The WRs for the most part were pretty solid and showed growth, and, some may not agree, but, except for Washington getting too many early reps, I like our RBs. 2. For whatever reason, I think the days...

    Terrible Loss

I'm not sure what's harder to deal with, feeling embarrassed and demeaned after getting completely dominated, or having a statement game slip through your fingers due to questionable coaching philosophy and a few ill-timed mental mistakes?
