Will there be a meltdown if we lose to Rutgers?

Not really. People criticize the offense because it's warranted.

    Advanced Iowa Stats…Pretty Interesting Stuff…

The Tebow could only run thing is a bit overblown. He had great passing stats at Florida. https://www.espn.com/nfl/player/stats/_/id/13200/type/college-football

    Advanced Iowa Stats…Pretty Interesting Stuff…

Yeah, I dunno about that. 2022 and 2023 were pretty exceptional. We've faced one decent opponent and two jokes. Let's take a look a month from now.

Hopefully The Hawkeyes Beat The Smart Kids Game Thread

The fans aren't looking for an excuse, they're looking for some offense. This sh** is getting old. If it's run, run, run...people will get pissed and they should.

Cleveland.com sends clear Woody Hayes message to Iowa Hawkeyes coach Kirk Ferentz

Did you read your own post? "No one is saying KF's career achievements trump that of Hayes", then you say "There's also no way to dispute that KF has a better overall resume than Hayes. Well, which is it? LOL

    Pollard, Campbell and Goetz

It wasn't. They have a coach that knows what he's doing and doesn't f*** around when it comes to offense.

    Pollard, Campbell and Goetz

    Rumor? It's pretty obvious

    Gronowski - ISU Post Game

It seems pretty apparent that his arm is not the same post-surgery. Kirk bought another damaged used car.

don't mean to be sour grapes

The big 12 isn't looking too strong. ASU lost last night. KSU is garbage. ISU could end up 11-1 (gag)

Ferentz Nears Big Ten Immortality With a New QB Built to Win

We were 117 in total offense last year. But he's got the points wrong. We were 72nd at 27.7/game. I don't know where they get some of these "journalists". https://www.espn.com/college-football/stats/team/_/season/2024

    For no good reason

Makes me ill to say it, but ISU by double digits.

Cats and Clowns Kickoff the Season

K State looked bad, ISU got better as the game went on. Becht can throw the ball and our DBs are suspect. Their D looked decent as well, athletic linebackers. If we can run against them, it'll be a game. If not, we're toast.

DL "too good to be true"

I trust Phil, just not sure we have the talent at the position. Love to be proven wrong. We'll know in week 2 , ISU will throw against 'em. Indiana in week 4 will show if they've grown. If not, could be a long season.

DL "too good to be true"

Thats almost a given under KFz

DL "too good to be true"

Ball control is nice, if you score too. So, is there a general assumption that defenses tire before offenses? That would seem to be the underlying logic. I've always thought reducing the number of possessions was a we're not as good so we have to keep the score down to have a shot admission.

Radical CFP idea coming out of the BIG TEN .........

Make it an even 16 so there are no byes
  17. hawkdrummer1

DL "too good to be true"

That's the concern. We're thin at corner and last year they were up and down.

DL "too good to be true"

Great to hear that the D line is strong. Secondary looks to be a little suspect so pressure will be important.

    Kirk says offense is ready.........

If we can show any consistent threat with the passing game, it will only make the run game better. That's my hope.
