    Nate Stanley NFL Draft Position?

The draft is all about projected potential, especially at the quarterback position. You cannot deny Nate has the tools to project really well in an offense that can protect him and that he can sling it. Nate has exceptional if not elite arm talent, and you just cant teach that. I think he...

    Alaric Jackson, Chauncey Golston

It was and it showed. However, I guess I just haven't been overly impressed, like saying that is a sure fire nfl first rounder with his play before then and since then. I am not saying he is a scrub or anything, but a first round draft pick is pretty elite territory and it would really...

    Alaric Jackson, Chauncey Golston

I wonder how Jackson will grade out. No offense to Jackson as I am glad he is on our team, but I still really haven't seen him play to the hype that has surrounded him. I dont know if it is me and I dont know what I am looking at or if it is because of his size, but to me it looks like he gets...

Any chance at NCAA without JBo?

JBo benefits this team in a lot of ways, most notably his understanding of the game flow and momentum and his desire to take shots and have the ball at the end of games. Because he is a senior and he has credibility from doing it before, everyone on the team submits to that. Without him out...

    Petras and Mansell next year

It looks like Petras is going to get the job, but by all accounts he is a lot like Stanley in being not very mobile with a big arm. So what do you all think about the coaches making a wildcat package with Mansell that can be used in short yardage and red zone situations? Could he pull it off...

Nebraska AD now says year four or five will takeoff

This is a very good post. That is the biggest problem with all of these sexual accusations is that there is everything between zero and 180. We know there are times when a female has truly been assaulted and taken against her will. We know there are times that a man has been falsely accused...

    USC will be a challenge

He doesn't seem like a huge threat to run, but does get rid of the ball quickly, to all levels. Like most quarterbacks, be is most vulnerable to the inside rush.

Nebraska AD now says year four or five will takeoff

I have never heard of an incel but it is a foregone conclusion that women disregard men who are not good looking or rich! So that part is true anyway.

Nebraska AD now says year four or five will takeoff

Sorry, I didnt read a word of the article. I just saw the headline linking huskers to criminal activity a d pasted it. Whatever happened, and I am sure nobody will ever know for sure, it's not a good look for Frosty and his program.

    USC will be a challenge

Not going to lie, it is going to be a tough game. USC has a ton of speed and talent at the skill positions on offense. Good thing is that the quarterback is not a huge threat to run, but you cant give him time. I think their offense is a lot like Minnesota's with more speed. USC's defense is...

    Theo Johnson decision Monday

How in the world would you think that this kid is better than anyone we have now? He would have been a good recruit, but he hardly moves the needle for the tight end position for us. He chose another school, big deal. As far as the lack of production at the tight end position goes, I highly...

    IowaLaw's 2019 Final Report Card: Defense/Special Teams

I dont even know why I read that drivel. But I did. My question to the OP is what exactly do you expect a head coach to make at Iowa, and, what are your expectations exactly? Your constant whining about how much money KF makes is nauseating, so why dont you stop that and suggest a solution...

    Bowl Matchups

I was wrong, I was thinking Citrus all the way. I was thinking that the Citrus did not want Michigan because of them playing there recently. Anyways, it is going to be a fun game. It will be nice to see this Hawk team play against a non SEC team in a bowl for a change. I haven't watched...

    Once upon a time..............

So you think that Wisconsin's long sustained drives were caused by the offense not staying on the field? Didn't cross your mind that Wisconsin's long sustained drives were because our defense couldn't stop Taylor? The offense not staying on the field had absolutely nothing to do with...

    Once upon a time..............

Yes, you are correct, zone blocking does fall under scheme. It is a foundational element of this offense. However, Iowa does not always utilize the zone blocking scheme, and will mix in the hat on hat blocking that you are suggesting. However you want to shake it out, no matter if the...

    Once upon a time..............

I disagree. Dont confuse scheme with strategy. What Iowa did in the 2nd half was to exploit Wisconsins secondary by going downfield. Should they have done that all game? That's debatable. The real problem with the Wisconsin game and what the coaches did not expect was giving up 250 to Taylor.

    Theo Johnson decision Monday

I dont disagree, to have both a running game and a dynamic tight end will result in more red zone touchdowns for sure.
