Will there be a meltdown if we lose to Rutgers?

Your definitely right, but I'm not as emotionally attached to baseball as I am football. It's just crazy when you think about how much it consumes our life yet how minimal a period of time it actually takes when you really stop to think about it.

    Iowa Football Hosts Kasen Thomas

Great point. I want to be excited, but I'll hold off until we get them both on campus. Hell I'd be thrilled just getting one on campus, but a lot can change between then and now as we are well aware.

    Hawkeyes And The Short Week

I'd take a Friday night game over a west coast trip any day of the week.

TJ Hall Working to Produce More Turnovers

I hate to be that guy, but to produce "more turnovers" wouldn't that require you to force a single defensive turnover first?

    Hawkeyes Are Favorites

The 2.5 scares me as I have very little confidence in us ever covering the spread when favored. With the under at 45.5 I have little faith in our offense putting up big numbers but don't see our defense giving up a ton of points either. I'll take Iowa and the points as well as the under with a...

So Rob Howe wrote an article....

I'm not going to say that there isn't a definitive blemish that goes with KF's time at Iowa and possibly an asterisk when identifying how he was perceived as a coach. That said, I'm sure as shit that I can look back at KF over the course of these past 27 years and be thankful that we had him...

Who’s Going To Pay For Peacock vs Indiana?

As most of you know I'm a soccer fan so it's nice to have an additional reason to have Peacock (and Paramount+) other then to watch European soccer and Champions League. It's great when it comes in handy and I'm already a subscriber, but I feel the pain of others.

Will there be a meltdown if we lose to Rutgers?

Honestly when you think about football in the grand scheme of things we're all stupid. Lets be real. At one point most of us have had season tickets and spent a good amount of time traveling to games, or simply watching them from home, not to mention the countless hours we think about the...

Will there be a meltdown if we lose to Rutgers?

The problem is, as usual, we expected the former self of the QB we paid for, and came up short. It's easy to say that the 2 million could have gone elsewhere now, but two months ago we thought he may have been a steal. Funny how things change.

SI.com - Iowa's Offense Has Yet to Reach Full Potential

The problem is while our offense may not have reached "full potential" they also haven't seen the "full potential of defenses we'll face this season". The opposition isn't going to put defenses out there similar to what we say week 1 and 3.

    For The Notre Dame Fans….

You watch your mouth. Nebby won 3 NC's in the 90s. That was only 30 years ago and none of their players were alive at the time, but they'll be quick to remind you so be warned.

    Hawkeyes And The Short Week

I'm generally not a fan of Friday night games, however I've got a tournament out of town this weekend and it would be the only chance I get to see the game live. So this one time I'm ok with it, unless we stink it up Friday night.

    Couple of Surprises

MY biggest disappoint was the fact that we couldn't take a step forward in all three phases of the game. Thought our offense improved given a much weaker opponent, our defense looked good, but our special teams (primarily the kicking/punting game) took a step back. Not a complaint by any means...

Cleveland.com sends clear Woody Hayes message to Iowa Hawkeyes coach Kirk Ferentz

Good catch. Multitasking at the time. Flipped the names around. Meant to say "there's no way to dispute Hayes has a better overall resume than KF". Proofreading can be a good thing LOL. After that glaring mistake I went back and fixed it. WTF was I thinking.

Cleveland.com sends clear Woody Hayes message to Iowa Hawkeyes coach Kirk Ferentz

No one is saying KF is the better coach. No one is saying that KF's career achievements trump that of Hayes. All it is is saying that he's won more games and there's no way to dispute that. There's also no way to dispute that Hayes has a better overall resume then KF.

Ostrenga Is Out For The Year

LOL Gill is my guy in that game. Short crossing routes and slants all day. That said I realized I had zero success with any receivers getting any separation down field. Guess it's more realistic then I thought.

Kirk Still Has Confidence In Gronowski

Lets be honest with what he's shown the last two games he's going to improve. The problem is as he does so are the defenses we'll be up against.

    Sickos - and Iowa

I knew nothing about this but love it. Wish I'd of heard about them sooner while we were in the midst of our title runs.

Ostrenga Is Out For The Year

Careful that 23 receptions could lead the team and those 157 yards might be a third of our passing totals.
