    McNamara Done

Can you dumb it down for me? What is wrong with Cade? Is he still walking around in a brain fog weeks after his concussion? Could it take months for him to get his head right?

    The answer is Brendan Sullivan

    Kaleb Johnson Doak Walker Semifinalist

Looks like Boise St's Ashton Jeanty is the front runner for this award.

    Phil Longo out at Wisconsin

After seeing what Cignetti did at Indiana in his first year, we may have to rethink what makes a successful coach in the new free agent portal era.

    Sully out for the season

Well, Iowa's experiment with a running QB lasted about 2.5 games. Conclusion. Running QB's end up getting hurt. Don't count on them to be there for 12 games. Bring them in for special situations or for a change of pace, but don't use them full time.

    2nd bye week games

I would take Stanford, but Colorado, Utah, Ariz, Ariz St, and Cal are all good candidates worth considering.

    Phil Longo out at Wisconsin

Yes, if Rhule and Fickel fail, Nebraska and Wisconsin may have to lower their expectations and resort to looking for the next Matt Campbell / Cignetti type. You know, a head coach who has had some success at the G5 level, and hopefully can at least build a consistently winning program at...

    2nd bye week games

Which is why the Big Ten could never split into 2 geographic east-west 9-team divisions. It would be unfair to any midwest team assigned to the west division. Maybe 4 geographic divisions of 4 or 5 teams each.

    CFB Playoff

Not saying you are wrong but what's that based on? Especially when you consider that Oregon is undefeated and ranked #1 in the country. Ohio St has only lost at Oregon and is ranked #2 in the country. Do you really think either Oregon or OSU would lose to Vanderbilt like Bama did?

The Time to Incorporate Relegation into College Football has Come

We already have promotion/relegation in 2024. USC, UCLA, Wash, Ore got promoted to the P2 (Big Ten, SEC) Ariz, Ariz St, Utah, Coll, Stan, Cal, SMU went to the M2 (Big 12, ACC, ND) Wash St, Ore St got demoted to G6 (Pac, old G5, UConn)

    2nd bye week games

And of course Wash ends up winning at hime, dominating UCLA . This makes sense Iowa crushed Wash and then Iowa lost to UCLA. The new Big Ten. Anybody (in the bottom 14) can beat anybody (in the bottom 14)

How is Iowa doing in the mythical West Division this year?

If the 7-team Big Ten West still existed, the conference records would be 1. Iowa 4-3 2. Minn 4-3 3. ILL 3-3 4. Wisc 3-3 5. Neb 2-4 6. NW 2-4 7. Pur 0-6 Iowa would currently hold the tiebreaker due to head to head win over Minn If the Big Ten had split into new 9-team east west...

When Did We Stop Calling It The Two-Minute Warning?

Two minute warning is an NFL thing that's meant to notify the teams that rule changes that go into effect in the last 2 minutes of a half are now in effect. The 2 minute time-out, brand new to college just this year, is not meant to notify teams of anything. It's just a timeout. A...

Does it feel a little like 98?

I guess in 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2022. Iowa had similar records at this point but still had a mathematical chance to win the Big Ten West. If the 7-team Big Ten West still existed the division standings would be Iowa 4-3 Minn 4-3 ILL 3-3 Wisc 3-3 Neb 2-4 NW 2-4 Pur 0-6 And Iowa would be in...

    Shaggy - the new QB

I heard he had a good reputation as a thrower. From his limited time he played against UCLA, there seems to be some truth to that. But there must some good reasons why he was only a 5th string walk on at Iowa and there must be some good reasons why things did not work out for him at Col St.

    Reasons for Iowa football struggling

I have a new theory that Iowa does not play well on the road when they play on grass. But I am too lazy to do the work to prove it.
