I just think completely focusing on the money makes it sound like he only wants to go to the NBA to make money. He comes from a financially successful family, it's not like he's rescuing his single mother from abject poverty. Again, his father has repeatedly said it's his dream to play in the...
Honestly I think this is the least talented team I've seen at ISU make a Sweet 16 run. There isn't a single NBA guy on this roster. It really is all the defense, and while I think ISU has some good athletes lead by Brockington and Hunter it really is the playing hard thing. When they are flying...
Fair enough - I would definitely leave the company if I had a huge offer if they were closing down in a year, that's not anything I want to be a part of.
I think people are overstating the money in regard to Keegan. Kenyon has made it clear the NBA is his dream.
I mean no disrespect by this, but where are you getting this? I haven't seen anybody claim the Big 10 was the best basketball conference for a long time.
1. Nothing is guaranteed.
2. You’re assuming he’d rather stay at Iowa than go to the NBA all things considered. We don’t know that, and based on things Kenyon has said it sounds like the NBA is his dream.
I love my job and the company I work for. I'll be financially stable too. If someone wanted to pay me 20 million dollars, I'd still take it.
Also, from what his own father has said elsewhere, it's his dream to play in the NBA. That's got a lot of value too. We'll see what happens but I'd be...
The Big 12 tourney was last week.
ISU has won the Big 12 tourney and had a good NCAA tourney, and they have won the Big 12 tourney and lost in the first round.
The flight time difference for ISU/Iowa is probably like 45 minutes.
Didn't expect to win tonight, very proud of the teams and these guys. Very happy for a guy like Tyrese Hunter who had an outstanding game basically in his hometown with his family there. Definitely don't expect to win in a de facto home game for Wisconsin but it wouldn't be the craziest thing to...
Exactly, they carry a lot of water. ISU made the tourney despite some bad stretches of basketball, some blowouts, etc. They did their work early by getting 5 Q1 wins in the noncon which allowed them a lot of leeway once conference play started. I think we knew Q1 wins would be factored heavily...
ISU and Indiana had close to the same overall record (20-12 for ISU, 20-13 for Indiana) but ISU had an SOS of 11 to Indiana's 38. ISU had a 9-8 record in Q1 games to Indiana's 4-8.
I think ISU's resume is significantly better than Indiana's.
I've been touting Wisconsin all year as underrated, on this board no less.
To simply say ISU or any team in the tournament has no shot against them, when they just lost at home to Nebraska, I think is absurd. That's all.
Is Davis 100%? I mean Wisconsin did just lose to Nebraska.
That said LSU is a very bad matchup for ISU, as a fan you have to hope two of their coaches getting fired has to hurt them.
