This is step 1 in getting ND to cave and join the Big10.... once the BigEast starts to crumble they will want in... I'm starting to think it will happen.

He won't have to. Just the mention of the Big10 expanding has sent the PAC10, SEC and Big12 into panic mode. The Big10 can sit back and let them flounder.... in the end we'll be fine. Rutgers, Mizzu, Nebby, Texas, and ND will look good in the new Big10.

Yes... but don't they already play 3 or 4 big10 games as it is? Let them only play 7 Big10 games.... isn't that enough? It would bring a TON of money to the Big10... that is money in Iowa's pocket. I'm good with it. :)

The more I think about this....the Big10 should negotiate a deal with NBC..... where they would show a select few games a year... BTN on NBC! I don't see why we couldn't do that.... ?? no? Maybe they could show some BB too....

You missed some of what I said... I'm assuming ND would share their contract money with the Big10... and we share ours with them. It's one more contract negotiated... it's more money all the way around in the end. If ND wants to keep "their" own channel etc... I'm good with it as long as we are...

Let them only play 7 games.... for now. I could care less about that too. With some stipulations... 7-0 != 8-0 etc... Once they are in they will more than likely eventually come around. Until then... more money more channels... sounds good to me.

Really?... I don't think I said it's perpetual. I said let them keep it... let them negotiate when the time comes and go where they might. I gotta think if they were in the Big10 the next contract they get would be MUCH BIGGER than what they have now. It's still more coverage more money...

Why not let ND keep some of what they have? Let them keep the NBC contract...as long as they agree to share the profit.... and we'll share the BTN profit with them. Then the Big10 would be on NBC, ABC, BTN, ESPNs.... I don't see what the big deal is... more money is more money... ND...
