I too think white will play the four...creates huge mismatches for defenses.

We should all know by now that Fran is to contribute to most of these wins...not just great play.....most ppl (including myself) didn't see more than 2 wins after the non conference play was done.

I'd like to know the years iowa has been in the tourney and had the kinds of wins in conf. They have had.....winning e games they have has been quite impressive.

While Seth Davis is well respected, he clearly didn't do his homework on this piece. If he were an Iowa fan during the Alford era (which BTW was the first coach since Tom Davis) then he'd know that Alford was #1 bigger than himself, #2 mediocre at best, #3 not the right guy for many other...

Yeah I know it's all in the past...but it is just interesting that we have several quality wins and programs like ISU or others that will be on the bubble don't have the wins like we have.

If Iowa had a better record...or a few more non conference wins, we'd have some pretty impressive "quality wins". I know we have some bad losses too, but some of our wins have been more impressive than many of the teams that will make the tourney this year.

Disagree BIG TIME. Simply not true. Josh is a true 2 guard and when we get 5 guys that are comfortable in their positions and not playing outside of them, he'll be a guy that comes in a hits 3-4 3's a game.

I appreciate what Painter did. Too many programs give these players second and third chances. I like that he said "we hold our players to a high standard"...not just talk, but he backs it up.

It would be nice to get someone like Brian who could assume Kirk's job when his time is up.

put it in perspective....we're arguing about being in the 100's for RPI.....come on. If it were a matter of being in the top 25 or so, I can see that.

not if you're being overlooked in NCAA...if he succeeds in the NFL, he'll have a choice to come back and be a head coach in college or, with the crazy turnover in the NFL, you could see him rising in the ranks there......step up, no doubt.

I don't really think we'll see any drastic changes in our offense. Maybe a wrinkle or two and a different play call here and there, but I don't see KF getting too far away from his comfort zone.
