Seriously I thought it was a dumb foul live. If you can go back and watch that back view they had, he reached his left out at the ball when it was low and his right caught the shoulder as they went into the layup. Clearly was a foul, but that replay really did show a play at the ball.
Man. I don't know why I expected this thread to be better than this. I probably should have known better. We have everything from evolution denial to calling blackface a compliment. C'mon guys.
In context it is clear Dolph was trying to pay a compliment and said the wrong thing. Do I think the...
No. And it wasn't even close. I have no idea how blind those Rutgers fans are on their boards to even think he did. He stayed behind it by more than half a foot.
I'm posting this with 4 minutes left in the Iowa-rutger game. The RAC, which only seats 8,000, is putting Carver to shame. I don't have all the answers, but we need to look at making some drastic changes to get some sound at our home games.
Not sure what happened, as I could have sworn that Des Moines had a 4/12 matchup, but now all the websites show Des Moines as having 2 sets of 7/10 and 2/15.
Did this change recently?
tl;dr: I'm a student, the university does not push basketball the way they do football, and that's why students don't show. Also, we don't remember the good times the way y'all blue-hairs do.
Since at least part of this thread has turned into criticism of the student section, I thought I could...
Wow. Just. Wow.
Our basketball program is at its highest point in 20 years right now, and we have someone arguing that our coach isn't a good man after he gives free press to a charity event.
Y'all make no sense.
"This is what my life has come to. I'm getting heckled by Iowa fans. ... Somewhere Rush Limbaugh has lost another listener."
Coming from a white guy from Mississippi, which voted more red than we did.
This guy doesn't seem to understand that people play football here in flyover country too.
Can't say for sure, but I am pretty sure it's a design thing. Most football players are pretty good about fixing each other's sleeves when someone has their pads sticking out. I'm guessing that what we are seeing is both optional and by design.
I, for one, think it looks dope af.
I said this recently in another threead but ESPN goes off network for Gameday a bit. Michigan/Notre Dame was on NBC this year. Last year Penn State at Ohio State was on Fox, like we are. For a side note, they also had BTN Tailgate at that OSU-PSU game, like we do for the Wisconsin game.
I...
Construction is a million times better than what it was a year ago. It is still something to keep in mind during gameday, but it is much lower on the list than it was last year, though I would still plan about an extra 20-25 minutes getting out from there just in case.
