it's hard to make that determination given the limitations/access to these recruiting lists. Tony Stewart was a part of the class of 1986 and he was the 14th rated player, any position, that year. That beats anyone named, so far, I believe. There were 3 RBs ahead of him on that list -

I believe Jermelle Lewis is the highest rated RB of the Ferentz era. 6th rated RB according to Rivals - Benjamin is ranked 14th according to Rivals. Albert Young was classified as an 'all purpose back' and was ranked 5th in that category. Lewis and Benjamin are classified as running back.

Jermelle Lewis was a 4 star RB. Top 100 player (73) and 7th ranked RB scout. Top ranked RB on east coast by rivals and 6th ranked rb per rivals. class of 2000. eno benjamin is ranked 14th at his position per rivals. Lewis was a HUGE fish in early KF days - and still is.

any time you are that age, and worth the millions he is, winning the tournaments he is, he is doing something right. sounds like he is an overall good guy as well.

what would you have said had iowa not had the 'hail mary' type finish to beat temple? need a 1 seed to win a game? i just don't think iowa was nearly as good as they were hyped to be - got lucky to catch MSU early - and they got bounced early as did much of the big ten.
