i think .500 would be a hell of an achievement. wouldn't get them into ncaa, but i think we need to have realistic/relative expectations for this team. injuries have sort of derailed what their potential could have been.

i have been surprised for sure and i was not expecting much. but i would caution that we still have 22+ games left and we (likely) will now be without jbo. this team is going to have to learn to play together, again, without another piece of the puzzle. i can still see a lot of potential...

i've seen a few ASU games on tv this season and one thing can be said. if he stay's healthy, he is the bell cow and is a 3 down back and should get plenty of opportunities to have some gaudy stats. but i think he'd have to go for 2k on the ground with 20 td's to be a legit contender.

banks played one season. in that season he finished 2nd in the Heisman. other than that, he was a back up to a qb that didn't finish 2nd in the Heisman.

homes, brian doesn't deserve another 8 or 9 years as OC to then be penciled in as HC. if brian wants to be the HC at iowa, he needs to go to a MAC school, at minimum, and show he can be successful for 3-5 seasons. successful with winning records and conference titles.
