No, the Big 12 as it is currently constituted is done. I mean the lawsuits that are going to be settled between the current members and OU/UT for leaving. I assume they they will be leaving and they will negotiate some sort of payout from ESPN or something since the Big 12 will still have the...

it will drop into the shitter even if you added those teams. If you add those teams, they will demand a new GoR. They absolutely cannot do it until the lawsuits shake out and again the possibility of joining a new conference absolutely isn’t happening. just my opinion obviously but I don’t...

You can't bring in anybody and no school would vote to bring in anybody until they know what's going to happen with the other conferences. If you've got a chance to get into one of the big 4 now, they are going to hold on until there isn't another option. The revenue model still sucking means...

    Frost caught cheating

I think this is absolutely the reason why we are hearing about it.

    Lil Debbie

Again, outside of the run with Pelini where he finished 9-4 seemingly every year, they haven't been that good since they fired Solich. And they're 21-35 in the last 5 years. For reference, ISU went 22-31 from 1988-1992, a period which was the heyday of Jim Walden. That's not exactly the company...

    JW Summer league impressions

Summer league basketball sucks. You have to be an absolute die hard to watch it.

Completely disagree. 41st draft pick as about his ceiling. Unless he just wanted to keep going to school there is no chance he improved his odds of making the NBA IMO.

I'm not exactly young but I prefer basketball now. I love the skill instead of the ramming into each other.

Is the Iowa vax rate off limits or something?

But... they aren't testing them. That's the whole point. It's not that people aren't getting them for political reasons, it's that their political leanings tie in to a larger group of factors leading to them being vaccine skeptics.

Is the Iowa vax rate off limits or something?

I agree with basically everything you're saying here. If people don't want to get vaxxed I strongly disagree with them but I don't think there should be a mandate or anything like that. What I do think is that insurance companies shouldn't have to cover anybody for costs associated with people...

Is the Iowa vax rate off limits or something?

The reason I came here is that ISU is currently at ~95% and I think everybody will be vaxxed by the start of the season. I do wonder if this will cause a problem for Iowa at the start of the season.

Is the Iowa vax rate off limits or something?

Iowa is pretty red now to be honest. Trump crushed here the last few times and many newish congress members got swept out both at the state and national level. It's not Utah but it's not Minnesota either. The difference isn't exaggerated. Republicans are roughly six times more likely than...

    JBo Attacker.....a former Cyclone???

Highly doubt they knew each other, the guy is a former walk on that is 30 years old who played a different sport. Personally I know people are quick to dump on JBo but the guy got punched. I think we all want to exist in a society where we don't punch each other over dumb stuff.

Well of course you would, but that goes to what trj said - they only care if their team is really good. If they aren't, they don't care at all.

Washington State's stadium only seats 33K. UCLA only has 25k season ticket holders. USC averaged 43k fans in 2019. The Pac 12 championship game has been viewed by hundreds of fans in person. They might have cared more once upon a time but it's really not a conference that has institutions...

When are these from? They aren't from 2019, which was the last time we had real figures. All of this talk about raiding the Pac 12 just bums me out more as an ISU fan. The 2019 figures had ISU with an average attendance of 59,794, #21, right behind... you guys actually...

You're correct here. Best case scenario is that ISU gets added to to the existing Pac 12 or Big 10, although I think the odds of either are extremely low. Second best case is that the Big 10 takes some of the programs from the Pac 12, leaving that conference scrambling and they can somehow...

It's more than that - the ACC teams would also surrender their home ticket sales revenue. Start from the assumption in all of this NOBODY is leaving the ACC, Big 10, or SEC. The rest is what you have to choose from.

My first Iowa State tickets I think were 250.00 per ticket for the season 15 years ago because there was a deal if you were under 30. Now they are like 475.00 plus a pretty decent donation. As for us ending up in a G5 league, that’s basically going to happen and I’ll get to enjoy watching Iowa...
