FWIW, just heard on a podcast, guy talked to Goodson's dad who was at the game. The staff told him he will not be redshirting and will play as long as he does well. Also, he was told last week he was playing in the Miami game.

Looks like a trend. I didn't realize his completion % was so high against MSU. That's a big time opponent, no Fant and Hockenson wasn't targeted until late (although I'm sure he drew attention).

I thought that Sargent play might have been the best play of the game. Sargent blocked the blitzer, released, and then caught the ball, all in a split second and Stanley got it to him just as he was decked. It was nice scrappy scrambling.

Stanley certainly can stretch the field. He has plenty of arm strength. The question as always can WRs get open against a top notch secondary. I’m thinking BSmith and OMartin will emerge. If Martin was good enough to be in the conversation at Michigan, some sources had him starting, I think...

Oh South Alabama got some licks in on Martinez. I doubt he makes it to the Iowa game if that keeps up. Actually I think he’s 10 lbs heavier and he looks slower this year.

Very surprised they put Goodson, almost exclusively fir the long 4th quarter drive. The game wasn’t really over yet up by 10. I think it means we’ll see a lot of him this year and he must be very talented.

South Alabama had more total yardage to. To put this in perspective Miami Ohio would be a 14 point favorite against S Alabama per Sagarin and that’s usually fairly close to the Vegas line. Also, 3 of Nebraska’s scores were on defense. The S Alabama QB was no where near as good as Gabbert.

I guess he jogged off the field and if true one theory is the medical staff wouldn’t have let him do that if they thought it was an ACL or MCL. That sounds right to me. We’ll see.
