Ok, so we are talking a difference between being ranked 44th and 16th out of 131 teams. This year Iowa has a 2.19 SOS which is considered to be better than Michigan at 1.36. Hell Northwestern is 3rd with a 4.6. Seems hokey.

You are exaggerating with the "Charmin soft" statement, yes Iowa has had an easier schedule over the past 10 years than 11 of the other conference members but if it's using the NCAA SOS ratings there isn't a crapload of disparity between a 3.11 SOS rating and a 5.4. This year a 5.4 rating is...

Me too and no matter how you divide the conference only 1 division can have Ohio State so it's always going to be unbalanced and whichever division you put Ohio State in you pretty much have to put Michigan with them so they play every year. Unless they go back to that stupid protected rival...

Just 2 years ago there were NFL rumors flying around. Fitz should have taken advantage while he had the chance. Being a HC can be very fickle, most fans have short term memories and can turn quickly. We see it on this board all the time.

Those of you apologizing did any of you watch the Nebraska game? Padilla did not look like a Big Ten caliber quarterback and I can see why KF said they were putting the QB out there that gave them the best chance to win. But I do question the coaches decision to recruit him in the first place...

It could be the coaches are doing the right thing and being honest with Padilla. The first semester is coming to a close so now is the perfect time to transfer so that way he can get set up with classes at his new college and be ready in time for spring ball.

Those programs are not anywhere near as fragile as Iowa or Nebraska. Heck FSU just won a NC as recent as 2013, USC in 2004, Texas in 2005 and the one thing in common with all of those schools is it didn't take much to bring them back to relevancy since they all remain a big name in college...
