Yep, 2004-2005. 9 seed Iowa State lost in the 2nd round. 10 seed Iowa lost in the 1st round. 11 seed UNI lost in the 1st round. Hopefully this year sees better results.

Iowa is 82nd in tempo this season. That puts them in the top 25% of all division 1 teams for tempo. Part of the issue is some of the teams they have played (UNI - 345th in tempo) and part of the issue is that NCAA basketball is being played at the slowest pace in most of our lifetimes.

Does the football win against UNI not count? Not that it makes any of this any more acceptable...

Honestly, I thought "How are they going to blow this?" But I am at the point now where I assume the Hawks are going to lose pretty much no matter what. :( It really sucks.
