He is a homegrown kid that has some name recognition and had a successful career as a Hawkeye and more then a cup of tea in the NBA...like I said, as much as any of the other Hawkeyes that have been mentioned if not more.

I think Bowen brings just as much to the recruiting side of things as any of the former Hawkeyes mentioned outside of Rodell Davis. Instate, I think Bowen will be just as effective as Settles, Gamble, or Murray.

Bowen is a poster-child for what mastering the fundamentals of the game can do for someones game.

I think any place between 5-8 is a legit option. Having said that, I don't think you would see this UNI team get blown-out in the manner Iowa did, and the players would not of quit like we saw from this squad. I completely understand why people don't want Jac, but I'm a little concerned...

I talked to an Oregon fan last night and asked about that, he said Nike would be looking for candidates like we have Parker searching for Iowa and that a former AD would be the guy to actually head the interview process with others from the university? Not sure how legit it is, but seems plausible.

Re: Help me pez. Stank may of been overstated and just my opinion, but shenanigans were going on in the Smith recruiting saga at Tennessee the first go round before he ended up at Iowa.

I always get a chuckle out of Iowa fans who are quick to accuse others of being crooked fail to remember Ed Martin's association with the Raveling regime or the whole stank that came from landing Tyler Smith.
