    Joe T Likely Starter

Many teams only play 7 or 8 players more than 10 minutes a game and have 1 or 2 players on the bench that get some minutes when they have foul trouble. At Iowa we have just consistently had a 9 or 10 man rotation the last few years so we have become accustomed to think if we dont have 10 solid...

Any chance at NCAA without JBo?

JBo hadn't been as effective as in years past this year. It will be a significant loss especially because our depth will take a big hit. But I'm excited for Toussaint to get another 15 minutes per game. And I think this team still has a chance at making the dance.

Does Garza Have Enough Face To Get Him Thru The Season!

I get the point. And Garza is playing like a potential Big 10 POY candidate. But with only 8 scholarship players available I'd argue that losing any starter would be very costly.

Does Garza Have Enough Face To Get Him Thru The Season!

His eyebrows are strangely untouched thus far.

Tony Perkins Puts Hawkeyes on Top After Official Visit, Then Commits

I'm picturing Joe Toussaint and Perkins out in front on a fast break and Joe throwing lobs to Perkins.

    Uh...Pemsl?

It seemed like he was just getting frustrated and making bad plays.

~ Iowa Basketball Career Records to Watch ~

So basically if he averages 19.5 PPG and 9.8 rebounds per game he will be all time leader in both. Tall task but he will probably end up near the top in both categories by the end of his career regardless (assuming no lost time for injuries or leaving early). Let the Peacock Fly!

~ Iowa Basketball Career Records to Watch ~

I think he has a better chance at the all time rebounding record if he can continue to rebound at this rate the rest of this year and next year. I think odds are low that he ends up continuing to get these numbers next year when we have more players grabbing rebounds and scoring points around him.

    Murray Twins Commit to Iowa

Do we know what kind of competition they are putting up these numbers against.

Tony Perkins Puts Hawkeyes on Top After Official Visit, Then Commits

Again, I'm most excited to see this kid suit up for the Hawks of anyone in this recruiting class. He is the slasher that Iowa is currently missing and he has some deep 3PT range with a smooth shot. Similar situation to Toussaint where I think we got a steal.

    Oliver Martin

You stole my question. He was granted immediate eligibility. Its possible that was due to some sort of depression. Mental illness isn't something to take lightly. Also one of Ragaini's drops was actually a catch. He led the team in catches but was essentially the 4th WR.

In theory when Brandon Smith got hurt, OM should have been in line for some more snaps. But Laporta emerged as a legit receiving TE threat about the same time and we know how Iowa likes to involve the TEs in the passing game. The one thing that OM has going for him is that he has one more year...

Way too early 2020 mock drafts

I think Eppy and Wirfs are for sure leaving early. They are both potentially top 10 picks. Alaric Jackson and Geno Stone are wild cards. Jackson has had some injury problems so I think it would be in his best interest to enter the draft. I think they could both be day 3 draft picks and we have...

Especially Bohannon. He seemed worn down in that SDSU game.

    Is tonight’s game being televised?

When I looked first thing this morning I also saw the Iowa game was at 9:30 CST which I was dreading especially when there would be a game before that could push the start time later. Was glad to see it at 7 a little while later.

    Small Ball

I agree that the small ball strategy will work if Bohannon plays. I also think a healthy PMac could help us as I view him as more of a tall guard than a forward.

    Nunge Suffers Torn ACL

I always felt like Baer was more effective at the 4. He was a post player in HS that developed a perimeter game when he got to Iowa. I think that Patrick could fill a similar role if he can get healthy. I think I brought up the going small lineup thing. But the more I think about it the more...

    Nunge Suffers Torn ACL

I understand that people get upset with the McCaffrey kids on scholarship. However, 13 players can't be on the court at the same. Yes you could redshirt a couple kids each year but that sort of defeats the purpose of adding two more players to a recruiting class. Heck this year they gave Till a...
