    BIG Tourney...

Any updates on Anthony? I was hoping for some sort of resolution or answers. It's been crickets since the announcement of the investigation.

    BIG Tourney...

Maryland is solid. I watched them when they came to Iowa City. That team has some pop 1-9. And their pitching and defense are solid. I thought Morgan pitched very well, but assumed this would be a game where they would ride anyone too long in light of the expected NCAA bid. What worried me was...

    BIG Tourney...

Rosenblatt was a landmark. Loved that stadium and the CWS. I was bummed to see it go. But I will say I am glad the city of Omaha did what they had to do to keep the CWS. Let's hope the Hawks keep up their play. #RickysBoysDontQuit

    FuboTV

I'm with Hawkboys on this. Switched over due to my fiancee being a Cubs fan and YouTube TV not carrying Marquee. Both had NBC Sports Chicago which carry my White Sox, so we made the switch. I don't really watch much besides sports. Ran into a little trouble with March Madness and Fubo not...

    Monika waived by Sparks

I think the future is bright for her regardless of what she chooses, but I think if she chooses to pursue basketball, she can catch on somewhere. Megan had to adjust and took a minute to find her niche.

The Moonlight Graham Show on Spotify

Not sure if any of you listen to podcasts on Spotify or not, but a teammate of mine, Tim Flattery, has a decent show. It's called "The Moonlight Graham Show". It has a lot of interviews with ex-Hawkeyes such as Greg Brunner, Jeff Horner, Adam Haluska and etc. There are plenty of others...

Marcus Morgan Hurls Hawkeyes to Win

If their pitching can continue to do well, I think their rotation can be as good as anyone. Hoping they are putting it all together at the right time. I think if they can win the Big 10 tourney, they are in. Not sure otherwise. Strength of schedule is questionable.

Do we like the Ohio State WR visiting today?

Absolutely. It also brought up the Hunter Dickinson comment he made. He was criticized by some Michigan fans for leaving to go to Kansas. His reply to them was basically, "Would you not leave your current job for a job that paid $10K more? I was not even making six figures at Michigan." At...

Do we like the Ohio State WR visiting today?

The NIL is the Wild West. Million dollar agreements and bidding wars over athletes. It's taken it to a whole new level. Here's an interesting one, Arch Manning, who committed to Texas, allegedly won't accept any of his NIL money unless he wins the starting job. That was the agreement his dad...

Do we like the Ohio State WR visiting today?

The NIL right now is out of control. Some way, shape, or form, they are going to have some sort of guidelines. Hunter Dickinson, the center for Michigan, who just transferred to Kansas was receiving some backlash for his decision and his reply that most people would leave their current job (too)...

Iowa withheld some athletes from competition

Looks like Keith Murphy, sportscaster for Channel 13 spoke with Brian Ohorilko, head of Iowa Racing and Gaming and he advised no evidence of point shaving or match fixing on any Iowa or Iowa State games. Maybe it's UFC fights or March Madness?

Iowa withheld some athletes from competition

Looks like for baseball it's Keaton Anthony, Jacob Henderson, and two others who were not named. Anthony is big because he leads the team in batting average, slugging percentage and OPS. Henderson is a relief pitcher but has seen action. Not sure about the other two. But this could be ugly...

Do we like the Ohio State WR visiting today?

Looks like Season 5 is it. Possible spin off, but without Costner. Apparently some contractual issues with Costner about payment. I think they already said he is getting $1.5 million per episode. It's too bad too, because the show is solid as was the prequel.

Iowa withheld some athletes from competition

Oooof! We don't need this. They weren't too specific on BTN during the baseball game. But made mention of Anthony's absence. I'm not anti-NIL, but you start giving 18 year old athletes money, it tends to bleed into other potential avenues. It's Pandora's box. And with sports betting blowing up...

Do we like the Ohio State WR visiting today?

I believe we recruited him out of high school. So hopefully there was a relationship there that helped him commit. Regardless, it's a huge get for us and it appears on paper we have addressed some of the glaring issues. Hopefully it also allows for us to open the playbook a bit more. Not that...

Do we like the Ohio State WR visiting today?

That's a tough call. But I'm assuming for some reason things didn't work out at tOSU. Playing time? Being surpassed or buried in depth chart. He very well would likely walk in and have potential to be our WR1 due to the lack of raw talent in our receivers room. The question is, is he a fit...

Charlie Jones drafted in 4th round by Bengals

Eh maybe with Brohm leaving a new coach and style facilitated this. But you're a 100% right about the likelihood of a top tier receiver coming to Iowa.

Bahahahaha! I about spit my coffee out reading the minivan line!!! Epic!!!

Charlie Jones drafted in 4th round by Bengals

That's the thing. Iowa is who Iowa is. Teams all know exactly what we are going to do. It's about execution, which in most years starts with the trenches. Uncharacteristically, the O-line (due to youth, inexperience and guys leaving) has been an deficiency. The D is no different. Base defense...

    Iowa Post-Spring Position Analysis: TE

I think it almost has to be in the playbook for double tights with the questions about our receivers. Fant and Hockensen wreaked havoc on defenses. And don't sleep on Ostrenga. I think it was an interview with Lachey boasting about how good Ostrenga's hands were. I definitely think with past...
