I'm starting to sense a turn in national sentiment

I agree with everything you said, and I don't necessarily think Cincy should jump us there either, but I don't really see how they jumped OSU in that week's poll either given that Cincy beat Miami (OH) that week and OSU beat Indiana by a wider margin, so I just left us behind OSU and thus...

    I have a feeling...

I agree. I think we win by a decent margin in East Lansing similarly to the Wisconsin game, then come home and beat Indiana by 3+ touchdowns with our offense putting up 38 or more points. Our offense's coming out party was really at Indiana last year, I don't see why this year will be any different.

    ***Locks of the Week***

This site is less than a week old and is this somebody already just trying to stir up trouble? Iowa is 7-0 and the MSU game is anything but a lock no matter which way you are picking.

I'm starting to sense a turn in national sentiment

Very good point. Here is how I would estimate we would currently stand had we stayed ranked after UNI: (I'm using the AP poll since the coaches continue to lose credibility with each passing week) Preseason: 22 (Actual weekly rank in parentheses) Week 1: 21 (UR). We move ahead after a Georgia...

    Most Underrated Iowa Player

I think it without a doubt has to be Hunter or Edds. The D-line gets a lot of love, even if the ends to take a lot of the credit, so while I agree they are a great unit, I don't think any of them are necessarily underrated. Same for the DB's and Donahue, as they are undeniably good players, but...

    TE from Ill.

He is still listed as an Illinois verbal, but I'm pretty sure I recall seeing a week or so ago that he officially opened himself back up to recruitment by other teams and I'm not sure if he considers himself an Illinois commit anymore or not. Either way, things are looking good for the hawks to...

I'm starting to sense a turn in national sentiment

Very, very good point on that one. The bias toward the SEC and the "traditional powers" in that regard is absolutely ridiculous. You could argue that all of those teams would be the worst or second worst team on Iowa's schedule.

    Stanzi best Hawkeye QB ever?

The consensus seems to be that in terms of career accomplishment, Chuck Long is the best we have ever had and that Drew Tate is the best multi-year starter of the KF era. Here is a statistical breakdown of how Stanzi currently stacks up with both. ((My formatting isn't working so I have...

    5 wide

Exactly. Also, Florida and Bama are in opposite sides of the SEC, which means that one of them will have to lose, either in the SEC title game, or before then.
