    Brian’s F’s pre-game press conference

Damned if he does, damned if he doesn't. He appears at the presser (which was for the offensive coordinator while most thought he wouldn't show), he's stealing attention away from the team. If he doesn't he's hiding and doesn't have the balls to show up and face the questions. I...

Paul Cryst snubbed....Joe Philbin the man?

Chad Liestekow reported this in his column yesterday as well.

Iowa Targeting January for New OC

Not sure if you meant this to the poster you quoted or to the author of the article. Anyway, "snubbed" isn't a very good word to use to describe Chyst being passed over. If true, sounds like KF decided on a tried and true confidant who he has a lot of history with over someone who he had a...

    Lil Debbie Natty Champions 2024...

It's not a requirement that the OC has to be the QB coach. In fact, Brian only took that role on the last 2-3 years of his time in the OC position. Another coach could take on those duties. I understand the concern over Woods experience to be an OC. But it is also possible that he has...

    Nick DeJong Returning to Hawkeyes

Last year they brought in Feth and Parker as O-Linemen from the transfer portal. Feth turned out to be a valuable pickup but Parker hardly played a down. This might be a case of taking a known commodity, shortcomings and all, over someone who may or may not pan out.

    Nick DeJong Returning to Hawkeyes

I count this as good news. He made some good strides this year and whether he starts or not next year, he will be a valuable piece. I am a little surprised though given the tight scholarship numbers they are dealing with.

    TN players opting out

Since I've spent about all of five minutes following or watching TN football this year, this really means nothing to me. I get it that the starting RB is out but are the transfers in the two-deeps or are they players moving on in search of playing time?

    New thread: OC Rumormill

Interesting. I'm good with this if it is true. The haters won't like it. But Philbin has a good pedigree. And I'm sure it gives KF a good comfort level.

    New thread: OC Rumormill

I had several classes there. I didn't realize it was one of or the largest lecture halls on campus but it was a large, sloping room. And yes, no AC in that building made for some uncomfortable hour long lectures to sit through.

    Candidates for the OC position

Agree. Our WR talent has dropped considerably. But I would argue that what we have now at RB is as good as it has been in the KF era. They have not had the luxury of any OL play that comes close to some of the lines that we've had in the past. When we did get a sliver of blocking this year...

    Ohio State's Kyle McCord

Higgins is home grown. He wasn't a transfer.

    Personnel losses for next season

Hopefully 2 or 3 of the group of Harrell, Twedt and Sharar can make a leap next year. I agree that it is a tough position to transfer in and master. Of the above mentioned, Sharar would seem to be the most likely to start next year. He has been a stellar special teams player this year and...

    Personnel losses for next season

Black has another year of eligibility left. From what I've read he will look at his options after the season. He has a lot of physical tools and the mental side of it really seemed to click for him this year. I would love to see him come back.

    Koen Entringer

Did anyone else notice that is was Anthony Becht who posted this? He is the dad of the ISU QB. He was a College FB announcer and I always thought he was good at it. Don't think he is doing that now. Probably gave it up to watch his kid every Saturday.

    Ohio State's Kyle McCord

I stand corrected. I just read that he has one year of eligibility left.

    Ohio State's Kyle McCord

I believe he was a redshirt freshman this year. Starting QB on a top flight team. Probably commanding a high amount of NIL $$ too. You have to wonder what went into his decision.

    Dear Kirk

Except one has a 2-10 record this year and the other is 10-3. Different levels, of course. But KF has clearly not lost his touch. It's tough to say the same about Belichich.

Thank you Defense for showing up and playing like a championship defense

I was thinking the same thing about Michigan. No one was complaining about the way they won.... They didn't do it with a flashy and explosive offense.

    Cades influence on other players

You mean like last year? Yeah, our defense was horrible this year without all the talent that went to the NFL. LOL.

Ferentz will always do it his way

I get it if you have an offense with a pulse, but when you don't and you're facing a good defense as we were in Nebraska, I wish we would defer. And, as you mentioned, let our defense set the tone. We've deferred quite a few times this year. Let your offense get its bearings and see if you...
