Is Fran not interested in transfers or are transfers not interested in Iowa?

Yeah, that was awesome! Hogue is an animal. All arms and legs flailing around.

I am sure Freddy could get burned by taking a guy. But you can also have a #rightway guy do something stupid, too. Like tell the Twitterverse to suck a fat one or WWE a guy to the hardwood. It happens.

    Heartfelt congrats to ISU

I am not optimistic moving forward without Georges, but it has been a fun year. Thanks.

    Heartfelt congrats to ISU

The respect in this thread is admirable! I admit that I could never root for the Hawks, but can definitely respect them when they play well. #nottrollingatall

I think we will go super small. Naz will start and Edozie and Gibson are only used when needed for a foul or rebound here and there. There will be lots of threes shot.

    Tough "break" for Georges

Stepped on teammates' foot late. Huge blow.

    Sorry for that, 8675309.

    Tom Davis vs. Johnny Orr

And I will add that I hold Mr. Davis in high regard. Quality coach, quality individual. No argument there.

    Tom Davis vs. Johnny Orr

I am an old dude that grew up in the Barry Stevens era, when Hilton Magic was born. Does that revoke my authority? I love how everyone here seems to be such an Orr scholar as well. Do you need to have been an adult during Kinnick's 1939 season to say he meant a lot to Iowa football? I am...

Wrong. Return of excitement and NCAA appearances.

    Tom Davis vs. Johnny Orr

I guess I see it that he kickstarted Hilton Magic. That and the program now is far from mediocre. And my Lickliter point stands...how many fanbases support bad teams in great numbers? ISU didn't then and Iowa didn't with Lick.

    Tom Davis vs. Johnny Orr

Have you forgotten the free pizza Lickliter era already? You can't be saying that Iowa fans support their bad teams, can you? Look, I readily admit that Johnny's win/loss isn't stellar, but there just isn't any denying what he did for the program, university, and community.

    Tom Davis vs. Johnny Orr

You can't put a percentage on personality, but Johnny's was off the charts. He revived a long dormant program. I think I remember reading somewhere that home game attendance was somewhere around 5000 before he arrived.

Re: Lots of respect Sure, because quality discussion was on everyone's mind right after the game. Anyway, I stand by my controversial comments of congratulation, but you will probably get your wish in that I won't do it again.

Re: Lots of respect Some of you may forget that I often make a congratulatory post here when ISU loses a rivalry game. I am genuine in the respect for the Iowa team and how they took every punch last night.
