Thanks for the article. Man I hope we can keep this kid instate. All this Notre Dame love is killing me.

    McDermott to Creighton

Nick Nurse is associate head coach, so he'll be next in line most likely.

    Kurt Alexander Going to Drake

I wasn't saying he would be our pg, but I know he's a strong possibility from what I've read on here. I read somewhere that Marble played nearly all positions, so I don't know if he'd really qualify as a big ten point guard. Then again, I'm not sure there are any capable big ten point guards...

    Kurt Alexander Going to Drake

Whoops, yeah I forgot that. That pg mentioned above looks good from what I can see.

    Kurt Alexander Going to Drake

Drake men's basketball: Bulldogs add Kurt Alexander from Iowa Central | desmoinesregister.com | The Des Moines Register Looks like it's official. Who do we go after besides Basabe and Kaylon Williams now?

    Why not Brad Stevens?

LOL! No, but seriously after watching a few games, he doesn't appear to play the same way Lick did. My guess is he wouldn't consider us after what happened to Lick. He'll have success wherever he goes next, if he goes at all.

Barta is gonna surprise us all!

The question mark's throwing me off. Are you trying to make it a question, or an emphatic statement!? Also, how do you know?

    Gregory/Forbes

I'd be all for it. I actually think it could happen too. Think about it for Forbes: getting a pay raise, going to the team you want, if Gregory fails you have a good chance at stepping in next. The only negative I can think of is leaving a very good team behind. If he is really wanting the Iowa...

Don't understand the love affair with Forbes

I think it's the fact that he's known as a very hard worker, and called Iowa, "a dream job". That's who I want, a guy who'll work tirelessly to get Iowa back to where it needs to be. I'm sure the Iowa ties have something to do with this, but that justs makes me feel he's even more committed to...

Hewitt not going to St John's

Sorry, didn't see that thread, but there's the link to the ESPN article reporting it. Go ahead and delete the thread.

Hewitt not going to St John's

Says he wants to stay in Atlanta after talking to his family. I know there wasn't too many people wanting him because of the slim chances, but if he turned down St. John's (being from NY), I don't think he'd go to Iowa. Everyone's Coaching Predictions

I've been reading these boards for a while now, and there's so many people saying who they think will be Iowa's men's basketball coach next year. What I would like to try to do is have everyone put in order the following info, and if you'd like a small remark after your prediction. Please limit...

Is Tony Barbee Iowa's new coach?

As you said, I don't think it's likely because Forbes would be taking an already good assistant coaching job, and going to a struggling team as an assistant. Yes, he has ties here, but I don't think that's enough. Maybe if there was an agreement that Barbee would leave soon, and Forbes would...

Is Tony Barbee Iowa's new coach?

This is exactly how I feel, and I hope this is the case. I don't think we can really go too wrong with either of them, but from what I've heard I'd prefer Barbee just barely over Forbes. Regardless, they'll be more entertaining to watch than the past few years.

Who's going to win the NCAA tournament?

All you have to do is win two games to get in the sweet 16. Michigan St. and Ohio St will both have easy matchups the first round, and should have manageable second round games. I say those two are locks, but Wisconsin could make it too, they'll get an easy first game as well, but their second...

Best young coaches in the country

Josh Pastner from Memphis. He had a ridiculous class last year. He's at least getting great talent. Although Memphis isn't as good this year, they'll be great in a year or two. With that talent, I don't think you can lose that many games in conference USA .

Arob and Keenan Davis hit the silver screen?
