I'm starting to sense a turn in national sentiment

I even heard Jon Kincaid(ESPN Radio) and Beano Cook acknowledge that if Iowa goes undefeated, they will need to be considered for the Big Game, albeit relunctantly. As Cook said after they discussed all the other top 5-6 teams without mentioning Iowa '' I forget about Iowa, and that is not...

    Recruiting

This is the tail wagging the dog stuff. The reason you want great recruits is to win. Iowa is winning. Therefore they have gotten great recruits. You do not change what is working and giving you wins to attract great recruits...that is backwards. Iowa is throwing the ball a lot more than in...

    Why do people care

Still, the Hawks have a way to erase all the bad perceptions with wins over MSU in EL...moves them up over Cinncy, then wins over IU and NW...moves them above Boise, and then of course a win at OSU,solid #4, and a final win over Minny...we will rise to #4 and that is where we stay unless Texas...

    Most Underrated Iowa Player

Prater. No one outside of Iowa knows his name. He is athletic and long, great attributes for a corner. Obviously, Spievey is well-known already. Our two best corners since? Better than Antwaun Allen and Jovan, imo, who were the best in the KF era. Hayden has some good ones, but not sure if we had a...

    Hawks opening practice in October

Why all the mystery? It is 10/19...and we do not play a real game for almost a month. Just seems kind of silly to think that no word will leak out to rivals over a month if it is a major injury and if it is minor...player will be back. Guess lick runs a tight ship.

How many Big Ten wins for Iowa?

Unfortunately, Hawks do not play Wisky at home this year, only in Madison. Otherwise, I agree ...IU,NU,and PSU in Carver is our best shot for wins. Big Ten is brutal this year. Everyone but Wisky and PSU are improved.

Michigan State Is Playing for the Roses

No doubt MSU and their crowd will be looking at this game as make or break for their season. Reminds me of NW in 2001 coming into Kinnick with a Rose Bowl bid in hand and the 2 win Hawkeyes were thirsting for an upset ...and got it. Weather played a big factor...which is what concerns me about...
