As much money as these athletes generate for their respective schools, they deserve some per diem money. Make it a set rate for all BCS school athletes in revenue producing sports. I'm not talking Reggie Bush money, just some extra per diem money beyond books, tuition, etc.

I think the media will spin it as a rivalry and has potential to be ABC regional or ESPN national broadcast most times they play. If Iowa gets the first victory or two, it will quickly be viewed as a rivalry amongst NU fans as well. If Iowa doesn't hold their own, it becomes ISU/NU Part II.

No matter where Texas goes, money won't be an issue. They are a cash cow. Keeping a fair amount of control in a conference is what Texas wants. That's why I wouldn't be surprised if Big 12 stays together in some form after CU is gone and potentially NU/Mizzou.
