    C. Guerrero Update

Let's be real - with the program Fran inherited, there are no gimmes. There are no players that we can get with our eyes closed. Not only do we have a great guy and coach in place - we've got a solid staff that is getting after it. Disappointed Cez isn't coming, but these guys will keep...

Plenty of Cezar signs from the student section

That's why Fran will get some recruits that we haven't seen in awhile around Iowa City. Personal attention from the head coach means something...

Who was the smoking hot blonde sitting next to Mr. T at the game?

Pretty sure it was Stiffler's sister.

Wegher Returns; Heart Wasn't In It (NOT WHAT IT SEEMS)

As much as I'd like to see Wegher back in black and gold, I just hope he can get things figured out for himself. It's easy to forget how differently the world looks from the perspective of a 19 year-old- and can't imagine how the pressure of being a key performer on a top 10 team influences...

    McCaffery Statement on Brust

There's not a whole lot to dislike about Fran in a couple of weeks... One factor in kids not wanting to be here could be the toxic environment that they see from the fans. They probably pay more attention to these boards than anyone- and it would be easy to see them disheartened by the way...

Lickliter arrives in stealth, leaves in the same way

Agree 100%. This is a good man who deserves our respect- as a man. We can easily poke holes in what he did/didn't do as our coach - but there is no reason to pile on personally. We've got our coach and we're behind him - let's show Coach McCaffery we have some class.

Lets get excited, who on the roster benefits the most from uptempo ball?

I think Gatens benefits, without question. He was completely stifled in Lickliter's system. Get him away from ball screens in a more open court, and he could do quite well. I'd love to see a ball-handler come along and let Cully play the two- ultimately, I don't think Cully has the patience...

    Forbes vs Barbee

    1) Better chance that Forbes is in it for the long haul 2) Good ties in local Juco 3) Already "gets" what it means to be a Hawkeye and will win over the fan base quickly Not saying Barbee would be a bad hire- I just know what people are like when they reach the position they have always...

    1980 Final Four Team

Brookins was a class act. Was an 8 year-old at the time and he was really cool when I got his autograph. Ronnie Lester was an awesome guy, too - went to get his autograph during a game at N. Illinois when he was injured (not suited up) and he let me sit and talk to him for 20 minutes. If I...

    Forbes

Charisma - YES! Sounds like a b-ball junkie. For a guy who's proven he can recruit, how easy would it be for him to sell a program that he considers his dream job? Put him in front of recruits and their families - it would never sound like a "pitch" - the passion for being a Hawkeye would...

    Help us, Jon...

If it's not a MAJOR name, then make it Forbes. I want someone who is excited to be a Hawkeye and knows what it means to be one - a great recruiter in his dream position? He would sell the program, period.
