Didnt see, dont get BTN+, but from what the box score tells me is that Heiden and Stuelke are going to be tough matchups for other teams. 3 point shooting looks to be a challenge, but that could be first game jitters too.....TO's looked to be an issue too, think 24 total in the game?? thats rough. Looks to be a fun season (again) but lots to work on.
Heiden and Stuelke are going to be the leaders of this team. They are who can put the ball in the basket consistently regardless of the opponents. Those two need to stay healthy and out of out of early foul trouble at all costs.
How well this team will end up being will be decided by how well does the trio of Chit Chat, Rodriguez and Deal all play. They need to be able to take care of the ball and feed the post. Hitting shots and making some plays will be big too but Deal just isn't as ready as I'd hoped. She's going to have some bumps in the road. Which is fine who she'll be 3 yrs from now will be incredible. It's just she'll have to learn the types of plays she can make at this level. Hopefully they can keep her confidence up so she can hit open shots cause that she can do.
Addie's not an explosive athlete that's not why she's a 5 star. She isn't the quickest, fastest or able to jump the highest type of player. Her strengths are her her fundamentals, passing shooting and being able to make the right plays. That she'll be better at doing once she has more experience.
McCabe will have games where she'll be more impactful then others cause of how she'll be guarded and if she'll be hot or not. Kylie same thing where game to game she'll impact games more or less depending on how they play her etc. Kylie isn't a high ceiling player I don't think we'll see her get 20 pts in a game. We'll need scoring from the bench

Southern played very aggressive defense, a mini-Tennessee, which seemed to explain the turnovers.
I think Rodriguez will end up our 3rd leading scorer. They also had her bringing the ball up court a decent bit when Chit Chat was on the bench. I guess they'd rather have her bring it up against a 3 than have Stremlow or Deal bring it up against an aggressive 1.
