Before yesterday's game, I had the Hawks 5-4 in the BTen. That looks a little overly optimistic at this point.

Sticking with my original prediction. Fully admit I am zagging on this. Just going the other way because it is easy to do. I am guessing the majority of the local media will be taking ISU…if that is the case, always go the other way.

Beat ISU, and I think they are still on the path for at least 9 wins.

Gotta be honest. Maybe I’m an insane homer. We will see next week. 9-3 or 10-2. The fundamentals are there. Lines are going to both be top 25. Could both be top five. Running game will be strong. Mark will improve. I’d much prefer the game we saw yesterday to the struggling OL we saw way too much over the past three seasons. That was the best we’ve seen an Iowa OL gel this early in a long, long time. I get that the opponent was a joke, but the OL executed vanilla ball to perfection. Mark’s mistakes were mental. He will be serviceable.
