Ben McCollum Introductory Press Conference, 3:30PM

Based on what I've seen said about his thoughts on scheduling generally, I would think neutral site games with them are potentially doable. I do not think he would be terribly inclined to a home and away series, but maybe that has been overstated. From what I have seen, he's not generally a big fan of travelling for non-con games. I am no expert, and maybe he has different feelings for the Iowa program with this stuff all together.

I'm with you all though, would love to see us playing them every year.
There you go!

I like that he said the teams that spend the most aren’t necessarily always the most well off. He’s not wrong. He was very likable today, excited to see his roster

Where you live Huck? I'm a Sioux Center guy going on 56 years.
Grew up in Rock Rapids. Moved for work to Wisconsin in 1981, but remain a Hawk fan. Got a couple of grad degrees at Iowa years back. My heroes when I was a kid were from your town. Look up your 1959 basketball team that won the state tournament against Davenport Central. I can still name the starting five.

Good to know NW Iowa is represented a little on here! Go Hawks!

Considering the so-called lack of NIL funds, perhaps a nice limo ride would have made a better look??
Because I'm bored, here's the flight. It's the only one from DSM to IC in the past week.

They took a Piper Saratoga which is one of these according to google...

I guessing a 45 minute flight in that pond hopper was cheaper than a limo ;)

Former Orab here, living in Michigan since late 2000.
The Orabs! Sheldon. Couldn't come up with a mascot so just shortened your colors of Orange and Black and poof, there's the name. There were worse offenders back in the day:

The Estherville Midgets. They still use that today!
The Everly Cattlefeeders
The Ocheedan Mounders
