Phil has a couple kids not sure what their home life is like but if he has Grandkids that can easily become a new “hobby”. I’m sure if they are in sports etc he doesn’t get to see as much as he wants.
Don’t know Phil but not everyone wants to work till their 70, traveling all over the...
It would be intriguing for him. He has had some Coordinator work in the past working mainly with the Offense. He would bring some instant credibility with him as he has a pretty nice resume.
I wonder if they would consider moving Budmayer to Special Teams Coordinator and having Norvel...
If Yanda is not a first Ballot HOFer then something is wrong. He was the best at his position for nearly a decade. Sherf may be close as well but he missed a lot of time for some injuries. I believe at one time he was the highest paid lineman when he was with Washington.
I cannot remember where I saw it but I saw something where he was projected as a TE at the next level but obviously with these younger guys that can change a lot.
MSU has a ton of money and some enthusiastic alumni who isn't afraid to spend it. If they can keep everyone happy they can come back to where they were. It wasn't too long ago they were right up there in the BIG10 East
I've owned several Hondas. Had an Odyssey with almost 200,000 my wife traded in for a Subaru Ascent to handle the winter in MN better but it was rock solid just burned a little oil but handles terrible in the snow. I had a 2006 Ridgeline with almost 250,000 that I decided to trade in as the...
I like him but he doesn’t really have any skill set that sets himself apart from the existing guys with the exception of maybe running a little more violent but his issue has been he can’t stay healthy. The opportunities would have been there with Moulton missing time but he has been banged up...
Possibly but unfortunately they weren’t on the team to find out. Not sure what the availability of CBs will be once the portal goes full swing and if Iowa is willing to spend premium money on one. I know they like some of the younger guys and they have some decent size. In today’s game it is...
With how weak the draft class is this year and how well Purdy has done I’m kind of surprised he isn’t entering the draft. Not sure what he gets from NIL maybe it’s worth it for him to stay the extra year.
For the most part though RPO is taken out of play on 3rd and long or obvious passing downs and that is where Iowa really didn't perform as well as they have in the past. When they were forced to blitz 1 or more guys to get pressure it is a lot of stress on that back end to cover regardless of...
I'm sure that like most organizations the staff has X amount of money to give out each year. How much of that has any leeway on a year to year basis I don't know. I thought most of the caches just got a raise a few years ago but I could be wrong.
Unfortunately like most places the pool of...
I agree but it all starts upfront as well. If we can't get pressure with the 4 then we are screwed and that hurt us a lot this year as opposed to years in the past where we could get pressure rushing just the front 4. Our run defense was not as strong as in the past as well.
Graves did okay...
Just my opinion as I was never around to see how they practiced but my impression of Freeman after his freshman year was he got lazy. Coming into the sophomore year he put on some bad weight and he could carry it very well and I don't think he wanted to work all that hard to get into shape...
