    Bowls have nothing to do with "deserving" to be there. It has everything to do with $$$. Under the current system, and given our reputation as a school that travels well, we'll be playing in a bowl game.

    He always talked about Bear Bryant passing away shortly after his retirement. Given what's transpired, I don't think that Paterno is long for this world.

    In correcting what a few people have said here in previous messages, I don't believe that a conference is allowed to send 3 teams to BCS bowl games. Also, K-State is about as unattractive of a potential BCS bowl game at-large selection as you can find. They don't go unless they win the Big 12...

    Yep, especially since he only has 4 starts this season, and the others have been starting all season long. He's 3-0 as a starter on the road, and 3-1 overall as a starter, which apparently angers some people who want him to fail.
