It's tough when you lose the coach that recruited you. He will thrive at Creighton,; a fine school, team and fan base, not to mention a great coach.

I liked Harding a lot. But what we need are strong, physical front court players, not an undersized point guard. It would be great to keep Dix and/or Sandfort.

The whole NIL situation is nuts. Some of these teams now have basically what is a new roster every year. When there is some adversity, a team can splinter quite quickly. I think that happened at Iowa State this year. Run BMC is going to have to run hard and fast to get Iowa competitive again...

44 is a wonderful age. You are still very young. 50 is the youth of old age.

I grew up listening with my Dad to Harry Carey and Jack Buck doing Cardinals games on the radio (those were great teams in the sixties). Wonderful memories.

Can you imagine being only 44 and landing your dream job? This cat has energy to burn. Did you see the video where BMc was running the football steps and working out with the Drake team last summer? It is a remarkable video. I think we have the next Bobby Knight, I really do.

We just don't have the dollars right now to get the top coaches. I'm worried that we will lose BOTH DeVries and mcCollum to other schools that will outbid Iowa.
