Lipstick on a pig

I wasn't referring to Weisman. MSU's defense is not so good that it holds a good quarterback to 19-36 and 137 yards with a pick. They're good, but Vandy is also bad. That's what I was saying. Vandy's accuracy isn't good, his decision making is inconsistent at best.

And the fact that MSU is the best defense in the division doesn't say much. In case you failed to notice, the Big Ten really sucks this year.

You're proving my point. MSU was the best defense we will face and we still backed into a win. The fact that the B1G is a glorified version of the special Olympics means we have a decent chance of backing into the title game.

If JV was playing halfways decent, I'd be on board. Unfortunately, we will not be winning either a division or conference championship.

This game is indicative of how bad teh BoneG is. 29 days ago, this same Michigan St. team was ranked #10 in both polls. This team, that just dropped a home game to James Vanderpberg, fooled enough people to be top 10.

Our next game is at home, then we go on the road against a couple of "very possible wins". Giving JVB time to gain confidence, and more importantly get into sync. It is not far-fetched. On the contrary, quite plausible.

You think it's plausible that JVB will improve enough to win the conference?

I don't know whether to be happy or sad that a team that lost to CMU has a decent chance at winning the conference right now.

You know whats funny, it might happen. Its bizarre to say the least and our defense is going to keep us in games.

Iowa's defense will mostly likely suffer horrendously against Northwestern (like always) and Nebraska.

During those two games, it will be an absolute necessity for the offense to start putting at least and average number of points on the board.

We can't rely on our kicker to bail us out each game, he doesn't provide enough points. Although, as sad as it sounds, he's Iowa's best skill position player right now.

I don't think JVB will ever be all Big 10, but if he doesn't turn the ball over, I think we will have a chance to win any game left on the schedule.
