Why DM?

Is there a law that says we have to play at Wells? Maybe I've been in Colorado too long, and I have worked 21 years in Des Moines, and I know that DM-ites have know way in hell of creating a college atmosphere. Screw em...PLAY AT HOME...WE OWE THIS MV TOWN NOTHING.

I thought they did it for central Iowa fan base. Crowd was dead. Not totally true, Creighton fans were loud. WE SUCK.

We win this game if its at Carver. PERIOD.

How do you come up with this argument?

With the student body an hour and a half away? Worlds dummest comment, Hawk.

The students struggle to show up when the game is at Carver, do you really think they would have made a huge difference in showing up since its the beginning of thanksgiving break? You're comment is a dumb one as well.

Good point, and well taken. I just feel we would have shot better at Carver. It's supposed to be a home game.

Carver is worth at least 25 points. AT LEAST.

Students are gone on Thanksgiving break. Having this game at the Well is a great idea.... maybe expand on this to a holiday tournament with just, ISU, Drake, UNI, and Iowa.

Ya, you can't have two teams from the same conference in the same tournament.

Dude were you watching the game today!? You are either stupid or a total homer. We shot 30% for the game and that was with Oglesby flinging them in from everywhere the last 5 minutes.

We couldn't have won today with 5 versus 4 on the court because we can't shoot. McCabe can't hit layups yet again. Hell even Gatens missed a bunny. McCabe and May are useless from the outside.

Just back from the Well. Crowd was awful, but when you are down 20+ for 25 mins of the game, what do you expect? Don't get me wrong, i was VERY disappointed in the crowd, but what exactly was there to cheer about?

Sarcasm.

This is the problem, IMO. When I spoke with Lute Olson last spring, he said that Iowa fans really knew basketball. The fans weren't just spectators, they were fully engaged. They could tell when the team needed a lift from the crowd, and the crowd would give it to them.

We don't do that anymore. We demand something worth cheering about, rather than giving the team a lift when they need it. It's supposed to be a two-way street, if you want a true homecourt advantage.
