I'm a life long hawkeye fan but I also know how tradishioned and great the Nebraska football program is.

Throughout time Iowa has had some flash in the pan years but when going up against a team like Nebraska you can't help but be a little intimidated.

I predict the game to resemble a little brother who makes his big brother mad. We will probably get our butts kicked but we will fight hard so our big brother will at least be proud we tried.

iowa will always be a middle of the road team who often has horriable seasons and goes through a lot of coaches, but I'm o.k with that. It is fun to be a fan of a team who isn't expected to win against power houses like Nebraska. Its exciteing to be the underdog every single year.
 










NE in the big brother role doesn't apply for me. College football is highly competitive these days and we will have just as good of a chance as beating them as they have of beating us. Their tradition is from many decades ago and it is a new time. We will compete with them, and the better team will win.
 




All I'm saying is that the Nebraska Cornhuskers have been superior to Iowa in every single way throughout the history of time.
 




Uhhh, no they havent, check your facts. Iowa has had a better history this decade. Factoid. There was a study done ranking teams this decade and we came in higher than little red. 4 top 10 finishes to how many by little red?

That, and his assessment of Iowa as a middle-of-the road program that "goes through a lot of coaches" belies reality (more on the number of coaches).

Since 1978 (to give him a slightly more favorable timeframe):

Iowa: Commings (1978), Fry (1979-1998), Ferentz (1999-Pres).
Nebraska: Osborne (1978-1997), Solich (1998-2003), Callahan (2004-2007), Pelini (2008-Pres).

Ignoring the Callahan era in his differing classifications of the programs was big-time troll material. I think the two programs are pretty much on par since 2001.
 


When you start with "I'm a lifelong Hawkeye fan" means you are full of $hit and can leave now.

And another thing, when your moniker is "Herb" and you bring up the Huskers it wouldn't happen to be in reference to Herbie the Husker now would it?

and when was their last top 10 finish? Last BCS win? I can give him ours if he'd like...

It's amazeing how passionate we hawkeye fans can be despite our team really never accomplishing anything of worth. How much is our head coach getting paid anyway?
