Who else is pulling for Butler tonight?

I don't consider Butler a Cinderella. They were an inch away from winning the title last year. They're still the underdog, which is why I'm pulling for them. But they are more an underdog in the way that Kentucky was the underdog to Ohio State. VCU was the true Cinderella of this tournament. Butler is right up there with the best in the country.

Agree 100%. You don't make the Final Four two years in a row as a Cinderella. You are a Cinderella if you tie the NCAA mark of 60 3-pointers in the tournament and can't miss a freakin basket (until you inexplicably stop shooting them in the last 10 minutes of your Final Four matchup, it seemed).

Me. Calhoun should not be rewarded for cheating.
Butler is a good story, and a solid team.
Go Bulldogs.
And,yes, they are still a cinderella...and if they win,it will be remembered for a long time.

I'm pulling for Butler. It does amaze me watching them and seeing so little in common with what we saw under Lick. It's like lick didn't even attend any practices while at Butler.

Butler for sure. I always 'pull' for the underdog, however I don't consider Uconn that much of a favorite.

I've never liked Calhoun and I never like to see a Big East team win it all.

Butler runs a clean program and it would be great to see them win after coming so close last year.

Go Butler

Sidenote: if the match-ups had be reshuffled on Saturday, the final tonight would be Butler/VCU because UConn & UK were terrible!!!

Cinderella: Big East vs. Horizen, recruiting budgets, coaching slararies, facilities, attendence, also how many of Butler's players would have even been recruited by UCONN or any other Big East teams? Who was the last mid-major to win Ncaa Championship?

Cowherd actually talked about this today. He said (FWIW) that it's not like UCONN's facilities are outstanding. Coaches attend many of the same AAU tournaments, basketball recruiting is not quite like football recruiting. Not many (if any) players for Butler would be recruited by UCONN.

But, Butler overcame these obstacles years ago. They are in the top 15-20 programs in the country right now, and have been for awhile. I'm sorry, but a top 20 program should NEVER be considered a Cinderella. Are they an underdog? Yes. But that doesn't make them a Cinderella. Cinderella's come out of nowhere (see: VCU, George Mason, Davidson, etc.). Butler isn't really surprising a lot of people here, because they were in the Final Four just one year ago.
