I will b on with Deace today at 4

Will it be podcasted? I think the biggest mistake Deace made with his prediction that 2011 will be KF's last year is that he forgot James will be a SR on the team in 2012...knowing what we know about KF, call me a bit skeptical he would leave his SR son with a new head coach in 2012.

Further, I can make an argument that the last 3 recruiting classes may have been the best 3 of the KF era...wouldn't make a lot of sense to retire when you have perhaps the deepest roster of your career.

If he tries to make a claim that KF may get fired....well that is just idiotic an laughable. Retirement may be more realistic, but again, that wouldn't happen till after 2012 at the absolute soonest, and I'm highly skeptical that would even happen.

Neither Jon nor Deace can be objective. Jon has to be careful not to make people mad in Iowa City. Deace is a fan of 2 of Iowa's biggest rivals. (Which is another story in itself. How can you be the fan of 2 teams?) Deace didn't make his career talking up the Wolverines and the Clones. Why would he not do that? Because there are way more Hawk fans in the listening audience. So, to get Hawk fan's attention, he bashes them because he knows it will get a reaction. Then, he will turn around and act like he respects Ferentz by throwing out some random compliment. Deace doesn't have to worry about the people in IC not talking to him. They never have.

Jon I hope the exposure is good for you but I will not in any way support Deace.
I understand business requires traveling in certain circles and such but remember no matter what you do the stench rubs off and there's no amount of good that can remove it.

Some of you guys amaze me. Let's see, one station you have Fat and Miller (two hawk haters according to most of you on here), on another station you have the "mouth" (another hawk hater according to most) or you have Deace and Jon. Seems like a no brainer to me, but hey, what do I know?

I don't think marty is a hawk hater. He's a contrarian (no idea if that's a word) at times but I've actually kind of started enjoying listening to him.

Deace is a hawk-hater according to himself. Sold.

I love how he tries to say he isn't a Hawk-hater by claiming he picked us to win the Big 10 the last 2 years. Big freaking deal. I've picked the Buckeyes to win the league the last 5 years and I hate them like no other team in the league.

The bottom line is that he has as much idea about what Ferentz is going to do as you or I do......meaning he has NO idea. He's just like every other radio personality in that he throws a bunch of bovine dung against the wall and then slaps himself on the back for the little bit that actually sticks.

I can just about guarantee you this, though. No way he leaves Iowa just when he's son is going to be starting his senior year.

correct. just because you pick a team to win, doesn't mean that you are 'drinking the kool-aid', as has been mentioned by a few posters on this board. to the dullard, it could appear that Deace 'likes the hoks'.........by picking them to win.

In Deace's defense, at least he admits this. At the end of the year he reviews all his predictions and insults how absurd some of them were and why he was way off. Feeling he'll be doing that about this scenario next year.

Listening to Deace and Miiler right now. He asked "Who were the athletes?". Deace, please tell me what right you have to know this information?

It just occured to me. Shouldn't this word be in our vernacular by now? ...perhaps in place of another term we often use.

"Deace-bag"

Its definition is self-evident. For example:

guy #1 "Did you read the crap that Doyel guy wrote? Where does he get this stuff?"
guy #2 "Yeah, he's a real Deace-bag".
