Minnesota game has upset written all over it

Hope i am wrong but i think this game sets up nicely for a Gopher win. The Gophers knocked off a good Illinois team, the game is at home, it is senior day, we have had Minny's number for several years, and i think the Hawks will come out flat. I would love to see the Hawks come out and leave no doubt who is the better team. I think Iowa gave its all last week against Ohio State and we have watched Iowa come out flat following a big game.

Adam Weber will have a big game today. I expect us to try and pound the ball and establish the ground game early. Would be nice to see us open it up but we all know that is not our nature.

Expect Minny to expose our linebackers and pick us apart in the middle. Don't expect the Gophers to run a ton today. Minny has nothing to lose. Iowa is most likely playing for a lot in the Gator or Outback. Let's hope that will be enough motivation to carry us to a win today. Go Hawks!

No. Just no.
 


Usually when we have written off the team or the staff. They come out and show us why we love um. I hope they lay the wood today, so we can get on the board until bowl time and talk about what could have been. Go Hawks.
 


The gophers beat Illinois 6 days removed from Illinois track meet with Michigan, they were tanked and had nothing left.

Webber is a poorly developed QB and doesn't posses the talent of pryor or persa, he overthrows long balls and is deficient in the short to mid range passing game.

Minnesota's defense is allowing over 200 yards rushing per game with a 5.8 average, coker should be able to gash them and gash them regularly.


Iowa should demolish these guys today, but then again maybe we dont.
 




It seems entirely conceivable that the Hawks could come out flat given all the circumstances surrounding this game. We'll know shortly one way or the other. Some of us for good reason don't want to think about another letdown. It may not happen but brace yourselves for the possibility.

Its amazing how everyone has forgot that Minny sucks
 






This game come down more to the mental aspect IMO than the relative strength of the two teams. If the Gophers come out fired up and playing like they have nothing to lose and the Hawks go through the motions we could have a long afternoon. If the Hawks show up and play like they want it then I think we'll take care of business.
 












SSDD boys and girls...besides the aberation of last year's team this coaching staff has been underwhelming 4 1/2 of the past 6 seasons. Let's look at our record.
