Have you ever seen the movie Primal Fear? You know where Edward Norton pretends to be schizophrenic in order to get away with murder? This reminds me of the scene where he gives himself away and the audience realizes that really Aaron was just Roy the psycho killer all along...

For the record, I'm not high and mighty enough to determine who is and who isn't a fan. That isn't my intent. This is just my opinion which I am entitled to. Guess it's just hard for me to fathom how someone can call themselves a fan of a team when all they do is rag on the coach and on the majority of their fellow fans. Seems like a miserable way to cheer for your team. To each his own.

I've been doing a much better job of not responding to your posts lately because it seems you've made a concerted effort to be less of a pot stirrer. I just felt I should point out the fact you contradicted yourself in your own post while trying to berate Hawk fans who called out Mandel.
The program has fallen significantly in recent years. I don't think anyone is arguing that it hasn't. What they are arguing is the fact KF does not belong on a list of top 5 worst coaches based on performance only, of which you yourself said Mandel was incorrect in his analysis. If you agree he should not be on that list based on the criteria given then you're being hipocritical. It's a tad bit annoying how you seem to stand up on your soap box and act like you've seen the light, and the rest of Hawkeye Nation is simply a bunch of lemmings trying to figure out what you already know.
What's funny is most of whom you would label a "KF supporter" have a very short leash on when they will be ready to move forward without him if things do not turn a corner. It isn't like the majority of Hawk fans are simply okay with the way things have been as you seem to insinuate.
You're exaggerating because you dislike KF and the article written fits your narrative. No one, I repeat no one, is making Hawkeye fans looks childish and angry in front of an entire nation lol. Please... if anything it simply makes Hawkeye fans look loyal to a fault. A trait they share with KF himself. A trait that is not uncommon in Iowa. Considering the level of success he has brought to Iowa in the past, and the fact he's had multiple opportunities to bolt for bigger jobs but he stayed I believe the majority of Hawkeye Nation is willing to give him a little more time to prove if he can turn it around again. Don't confuse that loyalty for them being unable to understand the circumstances currently facing the program.

I have come to the conclusion that this years team is going to win 10+ games, not because I think they can, but because they HAVE TO DO IT for the fans sake. Let me explain. During the '02-'04 era Iowa fans got along and instead of arguing with each other over petty crap, they argued with fans of other teams and not just ISU fans either, all teams. Then '05-'07 happened and many fans were disgruntled but thought KF would turn it around and he did for the most part in the '08-'10 era. Then that puts us in the '11-'12 era a new all time low for KF and the fans. Iowa fans are arguing more with each other than they are with ISU fans and hiding from fans from the other B1G schools. Like I said, the team HAS to win 10+ games, regardless of if they can or not, for the fans.

This is where we differ. I try to respect the fact everyone has an opinion. Emphasis on the word try, because it is hard to. That doesn't mean I have to agree with it. With you it is just the consistent negative trend to your posts that leads me to believe you're either a Hawkeye fan whom I would never want to be around because of your pi$$-poor attitude, or you're not a Hawkeye fan at all. It's one thing to criticize KF, quite another to start berating a whole section of Hawk fans.
Regardless, I will continue to ignore the majority of your posts for the sake of peace in Hawkeyeland. That is unless I think you are flat out wrong.

There are a few hundred hawk fans on this website out of maybe 1 million + nationwide. Other sports fans arent even reading the main Mandle article so your premise that the nation is reading this thread is bogus.
I think this has been happening over the past 8-9 months/since the ISU game last year but people are slowly starting to be cautiously optimistic and hovering around the bowl eligibility line. However, if this team doesn't win more than 4 games or looks like or worse than last season then I envision full scale meltdowns and riots among fans.

Who was "defending" kf? Again, you're being called out pretty well by others, so I won't belabor the point that you are neither the internet police, nor the HawkeyeNation police. Whether or not you have revealed yourself as "not" being a Hawk fan doesn't affect me one way or the other.
