Cool story, bro, but take that Princeton O and add in an arena the size of the UC and the results will change. It's just like when we shoot poorly at the UNIDump - the depth perception is a lot different than Carver and the high school gym in Evanston and it will impact our shooting on the first day, but playing that first game will give us a huge leg up over MSU.

If the depth perception will impact Iowa's shooting, then it should impact NW's depth perception even more, going from that high school gym they play in to the United Center.

Ok, so subtract points from my prediction:

Iowa - 61
NW - 49

Dorks - 62

Final score looks relatively close but I say Iowa is in command, up by double digits most of the game.

Now you're thinking about this the right way. It is hard to shoot free throws in Evanston, though, because the oil on the faces of the kids in the student section behind the basket causes a helluva glare, so maybe we could pick up a few more free throws and get closer to 70 than I initially predicted.

Or so I hope. Gotta come ready to play, but I have no worries about that with this particular Iowa team. They've been in "must win" territory for a while now and it seems like have been focused every game.

I think we'll have a 10-15 point lead and then go into one of Fran's notorious 8 minute scoring slumps where NU will make it close and then we'll destroy them.

I agree with OK4P (that just does not even feel right). Our boys with a bit of the jitters, NU with nothing to lose. Fran plays a ton of guys, so they all get a feel for the court in prep for MSU. NU has played us a few times and have most likely figured out atleast one more way to slow the game a bit. I think we win, but I have a hard time thinking it is by much more than 10.
It should help with the MSU game, that is for sure.

I hope that the refs are in favor of Iowa tonight. The B1G should want as many teams in as possible.
 


It is hard to beat a team 3 times a season. That said, NW is the bottom dog in the Big Ten right now. Iowa by 8-10.
