I was watching the 1987 Holiday bowl victory and was wondering as a nod to coach Fry and the game 30 years prior if the coaching staff would come out in all white pants for the game. We always want the players in alternate uniforms why not the coaches giving a shout out to the guy that helped kick start the program

Pretty sure Estron was kidding. Hayden wore them so his players on the field (especially his QB) could easily find him on the sidelines.
