SIAP -

But I stumbled across a blog penned by a guy who wrestled for the Hawkeye Wrestling Club back in the late 80s, early 90s. Todd Tarpley is his name. He kept a diary at the time and subsequently put it down in blog form.

Very interesting read - covers 4 years - covers insights on wrestlers at the time, coaches, his life as a student, his personal life - I've found it very enjoyable to read from many points of view.

Hope you enjoyed as much as I did.

Google Todd Tarpley; the guy has went on to be tremendously successful as one would expect. The blog was an interesting read, especially his take on some of the former Iowa wrestlers.

i'll just go ahead and say it - his take on Royce Alger...........

very impressive guy, and yes, no surprise that success followed him.

fun to read from start to finish.

That was awesome. Read it start to finish. Really reminded me of just how awesome it was back in college. Would love to go back and change some things, but who wouldn't?

totally agree - but remember - looking back, things always seem different than they were. change some things - we can all look back and think of things - college or not.

he certainly had a great experience - with his time in IC, and was a part of a magical time in UI wrestling history - around some great great names, first and foremost being Gable.
